When I see posts like this, I have three choices.

(this was the poster to whom my responses begat this discussion)

I can take him at face value and discuss with him the reason he would rather live jobless and skint in a mud hut.

Or I can dismiss him as a “crank or idiot”.

I don’t want to believe either of those two scenarios.

So I opt for a third option.

He is a WUM.

And I admire him for it....he has sure taken a lot of people in with his nonsense

You dont need 52% to win a GE. If Boris can solidify 2 thirds of the leave vote, then he wins a GE.

Really? 2/3 of the leave vote is 11.6 million votes. Corbyn got 12.8 million in 2017 and didn't win.

Anyway, weren't you one of the "to win you need to build a broad coalition, Corbyn is too extreme" types once? Do you think Johnson being more extreme than Corbyn and less competent at politics is really going to give him a general election win?

Might a General Election change the Parliamentary arithmetic? And in the event of a change to the Parliamentary arithmetic might you get a different voting dynamic? Might you also get a PM that would approach the EU with actual proposals for amendments to a WA (rather than just pretending they are)?
