it's not me or you pete, more than likely a honey pot for those within it, bit like the royal family over here , don't pay for stuff but end up owning quite a lot of things other people have paid for along the way.;)
now goodnight see you all here in a few weeks

Ah, but this is not the case here. The Eu is not a Monarchy nor a Sovereign State, there are only so many types of legal entity so which is it. This seems more like joining a partnership, and all the partners have a stake. When you leave there are financial pros and cons that need to be settled but it’s a two way action not one way....anyway it’ll be interesting finding the answer....

Britain it is...

Hallelujah!

- to all intents and purposes the UK was split down the middle (it certainly is now)

For a long time everything seemed fine, I guess it was only over past 6 or so years populism took hold (or so it seems)

- Brexit doesn't being any immediate tangible benefits

There will be some I am sure, but whatever they are there will be penalties in other areas

- the yes/no referendum vote was at best a bit vague and open to interpretation

I thought it was a straight in or out with no room for interpretation

- the government has been shocking the last 3 years

only 3 years ? and the rest......

For all of the above - a hard No Deal Brexit is obviously not the way forward?!

Do you suggest staying in or a deal that gets the backing of parliament ?

.............do you approve of violence then......
Are you talking about Mark individually @peteblue? Serious question, do you also approve of violence? You seized on the fact that Ireland has always risen against the British and called it 'violence', so I would pose the same question to you;- would you support British violence? Slavery? The Boer War? World War 1? World War 2? Kenya? Cyprus? Or is your violence more justified than Mark's? I think we should be told.........

Pete do you not see for one second that:

I agree with your first point, but that is because Remain will not accept the result.

There are many tangible benefits, I agree that many will take time, but we need to plan for the future and not just today.

The referendum was as clear as can be Leave or Remain...

The government has been shocking and I hope those that did this are thrown out of a job, politicians and civil service.

A clean No Deal may actually be the best way forward. It will bring this to an end, it will purge the political nonentities from their jobs, it will allow a vision to be produced to unite the country and allow us all to get on with our lives and businesses outside of a choking EU bureaucracy.......

Well, once again it would be nice if he could answer on his own, but seeing as the gang are all here I will answer first. I am in favour of legal violence if it has been legally approved. WW1 and WW2, Falklands etc were all legally enacted applications of violence.....perhaps you could give him a nudge to answer the question I posed to him......

Finally, well we are a member state, so how much do we own ?
It's a Union with member states, who agree to be bound by the obligations and benefits of membership. You agree to be part of it in exchange for representation. We share in the benefits of being a member.

It's probably more accurate to ask who runs the EU?

Out of interest who owns the UK?

What on Earth do you mean by this?
