it seems that whenever a point is made in this thread by a leave voter and remain voters disagree with, subtle and not so subtle insults are thrown about.

I've been supplying an EU agency for the last few years. Time will tell whether that will continue or be knocked on the head. Despite the bleating of Brexiters on here though, all of those I've engaged with through that work have been of the Tusk'ian perspective that this is a stain on the house of Tory rather than the UK as a whole, for whom a high regard is still very much felt.

Absolutely it’s not being done out of spite. It’s just how things work in the space sector. Generally when tenders are run only bids from member states will be considered. So if a country ceases to be a member state...

"The British must respect commitments they were involved in making, so the bill will, to put it crudely, be hefty." That's the quote you refer to, which is just standard adult life isn't it? You enter into any commercial or legal arrangement and chances are you will be held accountable for that arrangement.
