It's a tired argument from a man who has started with the intention of boxing his way to victory but is now swinging widely in the desperate hope something lands.

He has continually proved he is either a WUM, or just devoid of a solid argument. So responds with vaccuous nonsense.

Its weird. If he could actually back up his stuff with facts, then sound. But he cant, or wont.

Cos I am stupid. It must be.

Or cant read.

To help me out, just tell me what impacts on your daily life. Not some clever arsed response that you may think makes you look clever, (I wouldnt know, obvs), but other folk think it makes you look like a fool, so I am told.

It cant be that hard if it means so much to you.

Just this once and especially for you.

EU rules prevent UK government from subsidising (ie saving) the UK steel industry plant in Scunthorpe.

I think the 5000 people who are about to lose their jobs there would say EU rules have had a fairly dramatic effect on their lives.

If that plant had been able to supply (better quality btw) steel to build our own Royal Navy ships then the plant would be alive and thriving and we would have British ships built from British steel. But EU rules forced the contract out to EU wide tender and the cheaper (but lower quality) Spanish tender had to be accepted - under EU rules.

The sooner this nonsense ends, the better.

He can't, so he won't. Just happy to call everyone stupid. Just stick to asking direct questions and he'll run away.

lol Cos the conservative government have a long history of saving failing industry

As a person who I'm guessing has spent a large percentage of their professional life living and working outside of the UK and I'm assuming you aim to retire and finish your days in a place the other side of the world. Why are you so intent on seeing the UK split away from europe? What possible impact does the UK remaining as part of the EU have on your daily life?

Funnily enough there are some very high profile Leavers who appear to enjoy the benefits of an international lifestyle - Lawson living in France, Farage ensuring his kids get passports that will see them right post-Brexit etc. It's almost like they're fine having it themselves, but don't want any old riff-raff having the same opportunities they enjoy.

I guess it's that old problem of human happiness being relative - if it's too difficult to improve your own lot, you can feel better about yourself by worsening that of everyone around you. And isn't it a jolly jape to get them to vote for it too?

If the contract had gone to Scunthorpe (like it should have done) it wouldn't have needed saving. Would it!

And yes, actually UK government tried to help as it is a matter of national interest but its hands were tied.

But I believe I have comprehensively answered the question asked of me.

Even if that is 100% true (which it isnt), again, how does it effect you, living mainly in Dubai?

I get the feeling we've wasted the bank holiday arguing with one of the inmates on a Russian troll farm. And I was going to watch all the Bond films back to back, like a proper patriot.

You might have wasted yours. I was actually working. I had a lovely flight to India and back.

Not enough cut and pasting for a Bot mate. Unfortunately, he is for real.
