Instead of shouting down my reasons, for the sake of debate, what are the positives that have arisen from the vote to leave?

We get to run our own country. We get to trade with the World again. We can control who enters our country. We do not subsidise a corrupt EU. We regain control of our Industries and our fishing grounds. We do not lose control of our foreign policy. We do not contribute to an EU army. We do not waste valuable political time and effort tied up within the nonsense of Brussels. We make our own Laws. We give our children and our grandchildren their Independence......

Looks boss all that. No wonder Farage and Johnson were desperate to be involved in this win-win scenario.

House prices falling, exchange rates plunging, petrol prices rising, the desperation of the youth in the country after the grey vote took away their future, the outbreaks of open racism towards the migrant community...

They 'grey vote', as you so incorrectly call it, did not take away anybody's future. If you refer to those my age, then perhaps, just perhaps, those of my age (and I know many of my age who voted to remain) know enough about life, and the decision-making processes for this country, to arrive at an informed decision as to what is best for the future. Perhaps you prefer to hitch your wagon to the likes of Juncker, and Merkel dictating what is, and what is not, to be for this country. No thanks, I would rather we determine things for ourselves. I DO NOT want tin-pot politicians from places like Luxembourg telling this country what it can and cannot do. If you are happy with that, then fine, cloud cuckoo land awaits you.

As for outbreaks of racism, do consult history. That has always been the case, unfortunately. I am not for 1 second defending it, as it is odious. But go check it out. Find out what was happening to the Caribbean immigrants to this country in the 1950s & 1960s, for starters. You will always have nutters who will do such things, and stir things up, unfortunately.

Well without the money the EU gave to Liverpool no wonder the city voted to remain. It will get nothing from the Tories. An Everton forum with people shouting about how leave is good.

Not in our city.

So do you not like people of a different political persuasion.....

Doubt we will ever know what leave really means as we can never cut our ties and being in the market will mean so much compromise...thank goodness for that.

Apart from the points I made.

Shame that an Everton forum has such a vocal minority. Liverpool people did themselves proud with the vote to remain.

Results from Merseyside......

District Leave Remain
St Helens 58% 42%
Halton 57.4% 42.6%
Warrington 54.3% 55.7%
Knowsley 51.6% 48.4%
Cheshire West and Chester 50.7% 49.3%
Wirral 48.3% 51.7%
Sefton 48.1% 51.9%
Liverpool 41.8% 58.2%

So do you hate the near 42% of your fellow Liverpudlians, or the 48% from Sefton or maybe the near 52% from Knowsley....time to grow up my son.......

Hate? Why is it that Leave people have to swear and make up language the Remain voters are supposedly using.

Liverpool voted to remain. It just saddens me that on an Everton Forum the loudest voices are from the minority of the city.

Liverpool has a long history of understanding and acceptance. It goes against the fabric of the city to vote to leave the European community we have always embraced.

I was proud when the votes came in, although not surprised, that the city stood alone as a beacon for understanding and compassion for the people who lived in the city.

Mate, you clearly love the idea of Leave, but to many Liverpudlians it just sits wrong. We are a city of immigrants. The best city in the world, but of course that is just my opinion.

You can be happy with your vote to leave and increased fishing quotas, but the majority of the people in Liverpool are gutted. That's just how it is.

This is why forums are crap sometimes. If this was the pub we would agree to disagree and I'd get the ales in. But as it's a forum it's a continual battle to get the last word in being as snide as possible. So I'll let it go. Mate, I'm chuffed you believe strongly in your values. I'll 'leave' it there. Peace out.

I see that Brussels has sent notes to every MP telling them to reject the referendum.....

It's nice to see EU democracy at work.....
