Why ? If this results in this stupid ‘backstop’ being removed and then a deal being done then isn’t that what you wish for ?....

Well given that if we hadn't decided to leave we wouldn't be in a situation where we are celebrating the economic detriment of a neighbour over our own, as a result of our actions, then no, I'm not sure even the most crazed individual would wish that.

Now Johnson is hot footing it over to them with nothing changed... Is this the new and invigorating, more U-turn back peddling by Conservative government?

Boris did he state he wanted a deal so that's why he is going over to meet not the EU but certain high up leaders in Myrtle and Mackron ... we now have a PM who is honouring democrocy with actions, and not platitudes of kind words plus the biggy for the EU the 39 billion will be off the table - that's called negotiations....
Lets just hope he can get a deal .......

Everything Boris Johnson has ever done has been with the intention that he collects all the credit if it goes well and non of the responsibility of it doesn't.

His entire Brexit strategy is conniving to shift the blame onto others. I've said it before, but he really isn't bothered about Brexit in the slightest.

It's quite sad that a died in the wool socialist has taken to using mocking names for (centrist) leaders in Europe, but is quite happily on chummy first name terms with a man who wants to drag the Tories to the far right.
