Yes with the use of drones flying around the border.

I suspect it would become like clay pigeon shooting in Armagh.

Good luck to Palmer when he tries selling his ideas in Crossmaglen lol

If Monkey McConville is still pulling pints down the Rangers club (which he was the last time I was in there circa 1995) he will tell Palmer that there is no “technology” possible to create consent in the minds of most folk along those border counties for the hated symbol of division in Ireland.

The border is gone and it ain’t coming back.

The sooner the English Tories realise and accept that simple fact the sooner we can get on with leaving the EU with both dignity and a deal.

In yet another Unicorn plan, the Brexit fanatics have set up sommat called the “Alternative Arrangements Commission” (I kid you not) and it includes the likes of Dodds, Davies, Foster, Hoey, Rees-Mogg, Villiers, Raad et al.

It is funded by some Tory hedge fund billionaire.....yes, you would be right to say this grouping is made up entirely of people immune to any Brexit financial downturn.

They have produced some kind of document called “Prosperity UK” and went to Derry to sell it to the NI business leaders whom thus far have spoken with one sensible voice in favour of the Backstop.

And they are still in favour of it after listening to the AAC.....one proposal the AAC made was that effectively the Backstop be extended to include the Republic lol

Think ALT over at RAWK.....where every sort of nonsensical formula is dreamed up to make black look like white :)

And yet we still have two serial liars, lying and making false assurances to an ignorant electoral base AKA the Tory Party membership.

I have tried to be polite and reasonable over these last few years, but now, as we approach Unicorn Day, my only response to those imbeciles who refuse to accept the actual facts in front of their bigoted/ignorant/smug noses is that you must be stupid. You will not accept you are stupid. You will no doubt be highly offended that I am calling you stupid. But until you can tell me how ^^^^^^ issue will be solved, by 31st October, you continue to be stupid.

You have had 3 years after all. 3 months will be a piece of cake, according to your candidates.

BTW. The President of the World Trade Institute respectfully disagrees with both Jeremy and Boris.

Well let’s have a look at some of the ‘comprehensive new analysis’ in this document.......the following paragraph is from it’s ‘Economy and public finances’ section.
  • The report concludes there is little doubt that the effect of the vote has been negative for the economy: the fall in sterling has pushed up prices without doing much to support exports. As a result, the cost of living has increased, as wages have not kept pace with inflation.
So is this ‘conclusion’ supported by facts or not? The following is taken from the latest info available on the ONS website..........

Consumer price inflation, UK: May 2019:
The Consumer Prices Index (CPI) 12-month rate was 2.0% in May 2019, down from 2.1% in April 2019.

Average weekly earnings in Great Britain: March 2019:
Excluding bonuses, average weekly earnings for employees in Great Britain were estimated to have increased by 3.4%, before adjusting for inflation, and by 1.4%, after adjusting for inflation, compared with a year earlier.

Now I’m not a professor or an economist, but unless my maths is incorrect, the report ‘conclusion’ on this subject would appear to be untrue, would it not?

The above issue will not be resolved by 31st October. I raised this 3 years ago and little has been done, and it will still take 3 years once funding has been granted for its development. However, we will leave on 31st October and both the U.K. and the EU have to decide on how the border is treated. It’s not one or the other, it’s both. Of course a free trade deal, which is what May should have demanded, would get rid of most of the problem, but the EU of course have approached this with the attitude of scaring people to stay in the EU.

Calling intelligent people stupid doesn’t really help does it. Calling good people racists doesn’t help either. Yet this is what those of us who just wish to leave the EU and for whom the majority of voters voted for are subjected to. I could argue that Remainers are basically cowards, frightened of standing on their own two feet and dealing with the world, preferring to be mollycoddled within a protective and insular EU, but that would be insulting.......

It's great isn't it..

Varadkar and the ROI are waking up to the very real effect of a no deal upon the Irish economy. So far Varadkar has played with his big mates against the U.K. thinking that he will ‘win’ something, either a United Ireland or improved standing within the EU. However the EU are thinking that no deal may just happen, and the Germans and a few others will get a bit miffed about the effects upon their economies and job losses defending the ‘backstop’. The ROI are doing the numbers and the numbers don’t look good. The backstop drives the no deal and the no deal drives unemployment within the ROI....this is not a time for smirking and giving the Brits a kicking, this is a time for really understanding what is about to happen......

Fairly sure the analysis wouldn't have used live data. Wages in 2017 and most of 2018 were lower than inflation. Did you read the whole paper or just the press release?

Ah ok, it’s just that the report was dated today. I have not read the whole paper, I would have thought me quoting from “The key Brexit Scorecard findings” was fair enough.

Peter, Mr. Varadkar has played an excellent innings, doing what he is duty bound to do under the terms of the GFA....look after the interests of the Irish people, north and south.

Which is a darn sight more than can be said about the British government, which does not give one flg about the citizens of the region of the United Kingdom with most to lose from Brexit....Northern Ireland.

The majority of the people over there are opposed to leaving the EU.....they voted comfortably to Remain,

The majority of the people over there want the Backstop....they demonstrated that most emphatically at the European Election by returning two Remaim MEPs out of three.

So instead of the British government disregarding the wishes of the majority of people in NI and letting a miniority voice, the DUP, completely scuttle the sensible NI only Backstop May and Barnier agreed in November 2017, perhaps they could do the decent and correct thing and facilitate that arrangement.....which would also have the pleasant by- product for you and others of your ilk of actually have Great Britain leave the EU with a deal.

Northern Ireland is not Northern England....and the sooner the Brexit Brigade recognise that simple fact the better it will be for everyone, especially themselves.

In short, a Brexit for Great Britain is readily achievable.....a Brexit for the United Kingdom is a whole nother Brexit :)

Absolute and utter tosh.

Yes, it was published yesterday, but it's quite probable that it has been analyzing the period from 2016. I'm not sure to be honest. Perhaps you know?

Despite what our self interested right wing press blurt out for Brexiteers to regurgitate up and down the country, such as that Europe is moving in populist right coup, Denmark moves further to the centre left as they finally form a Center left government...
