Boggling that anyone brings up the war as having any relevance on pushing Brexit forward. Anyone who does shows their intellectual emptiness.

I’m not a fan of the current “WW2 spirit equals Brexit mindset”.1. You definitely can. They are not equivalents. A divided Europe went to war, the united Europe has not. They are not, however, saying because some people once won a war they are now forever imbued with some bulldog spirt. Believing that unity and community helps stop conflict, and trying to encourage that, is different to trying to invoke a spirit from a war over 70 years ago.
