you got it mate.

get on with what the whole thing was about in the first place . LEAVING THE EU

its been so twisted and convoluted over the last 3 years , every single remainer thinks that the leavers will just put up with staying in the EU in all but name.

never going to happen.

I hope Johnson gets in and gets us out on October 31st and we can put this thread to bed.

ive had enough of it all.
Maybe if THE UK had gone into NEGOTIATIONS with a STRONGER STANCE...perhaps....drafted ALL...it's proposals...with CAPITALS and Ellipsis, RIGHT at the START, then we would've LEFT THE EU...by now.

By OldBlue's personal admission, many Brexit voters
I have been criticised on here numerous times for speaking on behalf of Brexiteers, when in reality I only know the views of those I actually know or have spoken too personally. If i'm not mistaken, you yourself have pulled me up on this in the past. Fair dos.

So, for the sake of consistency, shall we agree that many of OldBlue's personal acquaintances who voted Brexit had no clue how to proceed with Brexit. But in fairness, I suspect that they all expected that the politicians and experts would know what to do. So why should they themselves need to know.

Personally, I can honestly say I had a fair idea how I would have tackled it. And a lot of the Brexiteers I speak to are also well educated knowledgeable types and I've had many discussions around the subject of Brexit negotiations being ballsed up by those we entrusted to do the job.

That's because all of those people said we should stay in and were dismissed on the basis that we don't need experts anyway. This is like the Irish border, this continual belief that there's a world class team or technology that will solve all of our problems but for some reason they're stuck on the sideline twiddling their thumbs. They don't exist. They've never existed, and the only thing stopping your acceptance that they don't exist is the continued belief in the fairy tale you were spun about Brexit.
For somebody who go's on so much about evidence and facts, you do spout a lot of tosh in here, posting points of view and passing it off as facts.

The simple truth is the politicians were arrogant enough to believe they were good enough to see this through without expert advice/support. Had the experts been approached I'm pretty sure that, irrespective of whether they supported leave or remain, the majority would have jumped at the opportunity to be part of the negotiating team. Not only would it be great on their CV, it would also give them a chance to influence proceedings from the inside.

I think the main issue is that when you do post fact, it's dismissed as being made up, talking nonesense or dismissed as a non issue.

While people can spout actual nonesense like 'the EU have banned salt' and when people call it out for the utter nonesense it is, then it's unfair and elitist intellectual 'bullying'

as a country we were asked if we would like to Leave the EU..

17.4 million people voted to LEAVE the EU.

at that time im quite certain the vast majority of leave voters , were actually voting to leave the EU funnily enough.

we were all well aware of what we were voting for.

Yes, you voted to leave.

You didn't vote for no customs union, no freedom of movement, the ability to negotiate our own trade deals, making Britain great again or whatever else the idiots claim a mandate for. You just voted to leave.

yes. can we please get on with it now. we've waited long enough.

remind me again who the ERG are and what they believe in?

yes they want to leave with NO DEAL

that's what they are holding out for.

they haven't held the process up, they STOPPED the country from heading into a truly ridiculous 'deal' which basically saw us remain in it.

they should be commended

Nah - most didn’t have a clue, fed lies and more lies by the crooked politicians and freeloaders on the leave campaign.

The same people that depicted the EU as a bunch of monsters who held our nation in a form of slavery.

These very same people (Farage) didn’t waste any time arranging German passports for his children and moving his family abroad or Rees Mogg who set himself up as a consultant onto to firms who will Likely profit in a WTO Brexit scenario.

Utter scum the lot of them. We all got lied to only some of us had the intelligence to see through the lies.

If this becomes a binary choice between no deal Brexit and remain, as sure as City finally won the league, remain will win also.
