As a side note, I’ve actually met and talked to a real old school nazi.

Even in old age he was still full of arrogant swagger and in total belief that he was above and beyond anyone else.

Being a nazi does not mean you will likely kill, mutilate, torture and dominate Jews, Muslims, the weak, infirm, mentally ill or other untermenschen. It does mean however that you see yourself as physically and mentally superior to these other classes of people. They view themselves as a class or race apart from what they see as lesser or sub class of humans.

And they are exactly the traits shown by JRM, Hopkins, Robinson and other assorted nutters.

So yeah I would call these people nazis

Have you ever met Ken Clarke, Anna Soubry, Hammond, Dominic Grieve, Sadiq Khan........

id much rather vote for a bunch of no hopers, than any of the current crop of liars and self centred idiots.

yes its THAT bad bruce.

I think you will be shocked if you think people are not going to be voting against both labour and the tories after what they've just put the country through

I think this is what will happen outside of the London bubble......

If a Brexit party candidate stands in my area as outers my family will vote for them - as they all voted OUT - not to carry this out without doing a deal, and the childish behavior - the lust for power - in that London Bubble will hopefully teach them a reality check.......

this has got nothing to do with Brexiteers voting to leave the EU.

to even be associated with the likes of the Nazi's and what they did is totally wrong. period.

im sure if Farage got into power here and tried to start some kind of Nazi movement then it would soon be stopped. but that is all very much not going to happen now is it.
In the very unlikely event that this country actually leaves the EU within the next 18 months, I think the prospect of UK politics becoming right wing dominant, never mind fascist, is negligible. It will have been a very soft Brexit with little damage done to the immediate economy, and people concentrating on getting the country back on it's feet after 3 years of uncertainty. Proper politics will return and proper issues will be dealt with by parliament.

My concern is that I'm pretty certain that this will not happen, as the UK will stay in the EU, either formally via withdrawal of Article 50 or a loaded second referendum, or by simply extending article 50 every 6 months. The problem then is that a high volume of the population will be more committed than ever to leave the EU, angry at the failure of UK politics to deliver on the referendum. When emotion enters the equation, then very often this is at the expense of common sense and logic, as the heart controls the mind in the decision making process.

Under such conditions you can easily see far right wing elements for the first time infiltrating mainstream UK politics via the back door, whether that be the new Brexit party or the Tory party itself. How dominant they become remains to be seen, but I certainly see turbulent times ahead for the UK, brought about by staying in the EU.

a quick little survey for you GOTTERS..

how do you think the rest of the Europe see us brits

a) like and respect us

b) do not like us

c) despise us

Since UKIP have alligned themselves with the likes of Tommy Robinson we can call them bigots in my eyes.

You could call Tommy Robinson, and anybody who supports his views, a lot worse that bigots mate.

I'd say 90% of the people who post in this thread are bigoted when it comes to the subject of Brexit. lol On both sides might I add. That doesn't, in itself, make them bad people.

None of them. We're the prodigal son. Was working in Germany a lot during the initial referendum, there was an utter perplexity that we'd decide to take the course we are doing. They like us as much as ever, they are just utterly confused as to why we're doing what we are.

As an aside, the Germans actually seemed to understand the complexities of what Brexit would entail far better than people in this country before the vote.
