haven't heard of that , They did used a lot of nazi scientists after the war. would be interested if anybody has some info please.
I know that there was one case of Nazi agents using a sympathizer in the congress department to use a free franking machine
to send out loads of Nazi supporting propaganda, so the yanks would have been well placed to see its effects.

Also the same with the Japanese scientists who were doing some horrific experiments. Read up on unit 731, some horrific stuff.

I have read up a little bit about them in china .
My dad was in the army working on getting the prisoners home returning from the japanese camps once they arrived home in the UK ,
he was adamant that one ship had soldiers onboard that had been deliberately infected with TB or something similar, i took it with a pinch of salt at the time as he was a bit libel to tell a tall story , but i wonder if there may have been some truth in it now.

Maybe it was scientists i was thinking of, i read it in a chomsky book so I'll have to dig around

Yay actual Brexit stuff!

The interesting thing with these polls is that they omit ‘undecided’ or ‘won’t vote’ so it makes it look like people, like some in this thread that have already fully thrown their lot in with the Brexit Party, represent a far higher figure than they actually do.

I have no idea who would be standing in my area so have no idea. It wouldn’t be the Brexit party or UKIP though.

what does the Brexit party actually stand for?
i am a leave voter but not just sticking a x in the box because it says brexit.
I honestly don't know one thing they have said on anything so how can anyone vote on that basis.

On 12 April 2019, Farage said that there was "no difference between the Brexit party and Ukip in terms of policy, [but] in terms of personnel, there's a vast difference", criticising UKIP's connections to the far right.

So see UKIPs policy and decide if you like it but are uncomfortable being in bed with Tommy apparently.

Surprised it's that close.

Remain have poured every bit of energy behind a peoples' vote and seem completely caught off guard by the EU elections.

They need to find a positive voice for Europe to counteract Farage, but they don't seem to be able to find one because the likes of Change UK are led by career politicians who are think beyond the one policy issue.

I don't think it is. It was addressed specifically at the AfD and Rees-Mogg retweet of them. Lammy called the ERG 'Nazi's' which was clearly done for provocation and was fairly crude.

Personally I think if you start throwing around Nazi accusations at people in that manner it ceases to be effective. I think the issue arises from the fact that Rees-Mogg doesn't distance himself from facists and Nazi's, he courts support of those aligned to them and validates their veiws.
Total piffle - as per usual yes Rees Mogg is a Lord Fauntleroy of politics - yes he engaged in the right wing of German politics that have been legitimately elected but does that make him a Nazis = NO!

My initial point, which you replied to, was that the establishment of a European 'super state' with an army is not 'about as Nazi as it gets'. You instigated the conversation so I see no reason why you've since become confrontational and supercilious towards my replies.

Your typo didn't have me confused, neither did your 'their' - it was simply a question of clarification. However your lack of any credible connection between the 3rd Reich and the current European Union did.

Now I am aware it's well documented that certain corners of the EU want to establish a European Army, but my original point, remains unaddressed, no matter how much you want to recount history and talk of different Facist ideology and pseudo Facist corporations.

All of the evidence I see from Europe is regarding State Nationalism rather than European Nationalism, in fact most of the Facist elements across Europe want to reduce the liberal elements of the Union and effectively reduce their de jure sovereignty away from the EU. Possibly because European Union effectively arose from the shadow of Nazism in Europe, hence the Treaty of Fundamental Rights.

Article 2 might be of interest:

"human dignity, freedom, democracy, equality […], in a society in which pluralism, non-discrimination, tolerance, justice, solidarity and equality between women and men prevail".

Doesn't sound particularly Facistic although I'll agree that centralised authority and one which could be described as a Corporatocracy backed by military power has the potential to be worrying, it doesn't necessarily mean it is Facist (the U.S.A would be the strongest evidence to the contrary).
Yawn this is becoming so so boring - .......
