A new PM can change that bill if they had a majority government.......Errrr. Any parliamentary bill has to have royal assent once it's passed through both houses.........

That's what my post indicated the furor if she had intervened ok.....
A good reason to get rid of the hangers on then.....The current line of Brexiteer thinking seems to be
'we need our heroic unelected institutions to save us from the decisions of our elected representatives, in order to give power back to our elected representatives, because it's been taken by an unelected institution'
A new PM can change that bill if they had a majority government.......
No, but the Queen has stayed out of politics all her life - also it's another reason to abolish the House of Lords ......
Make your mind up.I see the house of Lotds are phillibustering the Yvette Cooper bill![]()

Do you just say a selection of words and phrases throughout the day and hope for the best?A good reason to get rid of the hangers on then.....

That's just the legislative process. Most laws are written with societal and technological changes in mind and contentious elements clarified through the judicial process. Laws are amended or superceded by other laws if they are deemed inadequate or where particular priciples need to be codified like Health and Safety at Work Act or Civil Contingencies Act.Parliaments can pass pretty much what they want, although I think some acts can be future proofed. Cant remember the process nor the name given to them though.
420 to 110 in favour of May's proposal to seek an Article 50 extension to June 30
Just a shame it's not actually June 2030....

If that person is in unelected - No it's a class chosen lazy Parliment ......Are you in favour of Mrs. Mountbatten being able to overrule Parliament, Joe?
Do you just say a selection of words and phrases throughout the day and hope for the best?
Unelected no thanks.....The Lords? They are a revising chamber, again, like the Queen, with no real power. Like a second exam marker checking the marks the first one gave you in an exam.
If that person is in the unelected House of Lords - No......
