It was the highest turn out post war in any kind of polictical election .......but history will say democracy was denied .....
Apart from the General Elections of 1945 (72.8%), 1950 (82.6%), 1959 (78.7%), 1964 (77.1%), 1966 (75.8%), 1974 (78.8%), 1974 (72.8%), 1979 (76%), 1983 (72.7%), 1987 (75.3%) and 1992 (77.7%).
EU Referendum : 72.2% ; close, but no cigar.

So May is asking the EU for an extension , they say only if you can show there is movement towards a deal.
Meanwhile parliament says it doesn't give her authority to do anything without there say so and puts its own red lines down, that have been passed originally with a majority of one
now enshrined in law( that could set a dangerous precedent in the future) you couldn't make it up honestly if i were the EU i would be sending her and parliament packing.

Amazing as 69 percent of her constituency voted Out - next career move come dancing like her husband........
Democracy not at work - I wanted a deal, but to take it off the table in negotiations is going to cause more problems in the long run if the deal is poor!
Which it will be worse than staying in the EU as it is now ......
Both Labour , and particularly the Tories will pay the price for this in the long run.......

Common sense mate...common sense. No deal would have been an absolute disaster for this country. Hopefully that's an end to it now.

The choice will now be May's deal (whatever that turns out to be) or to bin off Brexit altogether

Did you not read my post -No deal was a bargaining chip that's all - to take it off the table is also a disaster - if your trade union sold you down the river and you lost your job by taking something vital off the negotiating table ........
We are now going to end up with the crappiest deal ever .......
One good thing that may come out of it is the parliamentary system as we know it dies........

Bargaining chip my arse! Using the potential ruin of our country's economy as political leverage has to be the worst idea of all time. Only an idiot could have come up with that negotiation strategy...No wait!

And yes I agree - we could end up leaving with a crap deal that leaves us a lot worse off than we are now and its all your fault Joe! You should have voted remain :p

According to these estimates, around 75% of constituencies that were won by the Conservatives in the 2017 general election voted to Leave, while around 61% of Labour constituencies voted to Leave
great democracy lads.......

Utter crap that shows you mentality of course it was a negotiation strategy, also you should have voted OUT..... :D
If your union took the big bargaining chip of the table and you lost your job - you never answered that one?

It's a rationale that relies upon the belief that leaving with no deal is alright, that WTO terms are perfectly hunky dory, and if you disagree then I'm going to ban you for picking on Joey.
