Give it up, it isn't happening, it's tinfoil hat stuff.
Spot on. Common policies and contingency planning on defence (including a naval presence in the Med) doesn't signify an EU army is on the way.

France and the UK are the primary manpower suppliers in the Europe and one has now left. France would NEVER give up their own control either.

On another note though, the EU ministers looked pretty happy today without the UK at the table. A glib charm or actual happiness?

What else do you expect from people like Junker, Tusk and the other horrible rats on the sinking ship that is the EU. They hate the UK and have never made a secret of it. Now that we've voted for Brexit Tusk and the others see no point in masking their hatred.

The EU isn't made up of Juncker or Tusk.

These ex PMs have just managed to get themselves into positions they shouldn't be in. Especially Juncker.

There are plenty others just like them. Martin Schulz and his predecessor Herman Van Rompuy (until 2014 he was president of the EU) are just two others of this despicable clique. The whole EU is infested with these failed politicians and useless civil servants who couldn't find high enough employment within their own country to placate their delicate little egos.

You're using the word EU and 'clique' synonymously.

When the EU is not - the people who've got themselves into political positions.

Just like the UK isn't Westminster.

Really?

The aviation group that I belong to (nadag.org) has monthly talks with invited speakers. Earlier this month it was given by Cpt. Rod Mansell of the 1st Dragoon Guards. At the end of the night, the last question was 'What is the future of the British Army?' His considered reply was that within 15 years there would be no British Army, only a European one. This talk was on 16th June, pre-Referendum.

Just sayin'...

I used the word clique for a reason, because the powers that be within this organization are a clique within a larger clique. A small bunch of faceless bureaucrats who most people wouldn't recognise if they bumped into on the street have almost complete power and control over 28 nations and are accountable to nobody. Now thank the Lord we've voted to leave it'll be 27! :celebrate:
Play with words all you want mate, my meaning was perfectly clear.

And of course he knows exactly what's going on.
