An election might not necessarily solve anything. But it gives the people the opportunity to appoint people who will enact the will of the people.

The tories are destroying themselves here. Their voters are three quarters leave. They are going to be very severely punished.

It won't really though, at the end of the day it will still be remain Tory candidates vs remain Labour candidates. Until the electoral system is overhauled and mandatory reselection/open primaries come in parliament will still be deeply removed from its electors.

What are you basing these claim on?

Because last time I checked, lots of sectors, including the Health Sector, seem, at best, unaware of the potential impacts and largely preparing for unknown.

Industry and banking do not wait for these cretins in the HoC to make up their minds. Plans will be in place in all industrial sectors for a no deal. The Civil Service who while not as clever as they like to think they are, will also be ready......

The EU have firmly planted their feet and will not negotiate. They are well prepared for a no deal scenario why we bicker and can see us leaving with no deal (treaty) by default.
I think, with a negotiation, you have to go in knowing what you want, knowing what your bottom line is, and knowing what you might accept if you're absolutely pushed.

They are not well prepared. They have told you they are, but they are not. Meanwhile the U.K. is prepared for no deal, even though we are told we are not.........

Oh they’re prepared alright. They have their little nests already made up for them in the Pindar bunker.

They’ll be tucking into tinned fruit and beans whilst the country burns.

Every leave voter I've spoken to has said they won't vote again.

And to be honest that's how I feel. I'm not willing to vote for a house that has effectively staged a coup against the people
Completely illogical argument.

But then logic isn’t really an issue for leave voters I suppose...

;)

The government is better prepared than you may think. Industry and the banks are well prepared.....

They’re not Pete.

The government are still receiving questions when they’re expecting answers. Some departments are still unsure over the implications on certain things, not more then 4 months ago did I raise a concern which is still being debated now. The interpretation of EU law causing constant agony for departments.

The private sector are ready to go and have been for a long time

Having to honour promises of people that we in no position to make the promises they did.

Would you prefer death by electric chair or during squad?

I could do it in the Ree-Mogg fashion if you prefer and ask 'would you prefer the fate of Scylla or Charybdis?'

What? a bit dramatic don't you think. The impasse is the disconnection between MP's and the people- they are after all public servants. You may not like the result of the referendum but it happened.

Plans are always in place for disruption. The big issue industry will have is the over-bearance of central government to manage things themselves. The majority of what I have seen in relation to emergency planning is 'make sure you're Business Continuity plans are in place and the Government will sort everything else'

Freight, shipping, permits, medicines, medical devices, data management all centrally managed by government contingency planning.

Gives me great confidence knowing that Chris Grayling is in charge of ensuring the countries medical supplies are on time.
