Yes they are. Did you have it THAT bad that you voted for this mess? Our economy is going to suffer, leading to job losses and a period of austerity, but at least we’ve got our country back, eh?!

If it was put to a vote again, it wouldn’t even be close.
Your way out of step then....... if you lose people like you - you are so bitter......
As for the vote we had one and it was a win by 1.4 million votes ... not that close imo......

Now that people are informed, do you really think the vote would go the same way?

Not to mention the demographics of the vote, how many people have since died since voting leave? And it’s a well known fact that the younger generation is in favour of a European Union.

As I say, people who voted leave should evaluate their lives and see what it is that is so bad that they have voted to plunge this country into the unknown.

5th richest country in the World, we’re so hard done by.

Then why the cry of 'This is our democracy!'. If you're so confident of winning again, let's put it back to the people and it'll be the same outcome, wouldn't it?

Can't believe the likes of Jacob Rees-Mogg and Boris Johnson have duped the average working man, like yourself, into believing you're one of the same.

They took his salt, well they didnt, but he THINKS they took his salt.

Hes had just vinegar on his chips for years now, it changes a man.

Cheers mate. It actually means quite a lot to me to have somebody understand where I'm coming from. When I wrote the post I knew I'd be pretty isolated because most people are so polarised on Brexit, but long term that will just make matters worse for the country, not better.

I can't speak for all the 17.4 million people who voted to leave, only for myself. If you have followed my posts on here you will know that I'm quite a moderate Brexiteer, and right at this moment what I feel is a combination of sadness and anger. Anger at being let down by parliament, and sadness at where the country is heading. As a person I'm quite conscious of my own feelings, sufficiently enough to understand that if we had a general election in the coming months, my heart would most likely rule my head in that Brexit would dominate my decision making, rather than looking at the bigger picture which should be what drives a persons vote. I fear many other people, on both sides, will be the same.

As regards the far right, I would never knowingly give them my vote. But there is always the possibility that right wingers could infiltrate mainstream politics at ground root level. I think it's fair to say that many of these thugs seem to have used the Brexit vote as a mandate to put their heads above the parapet, and I fear that could happen if the Brexit party get's off the ground. A lot depends on who takes over from May. If it is somebody who is a strong remain supporter, then I can easily see a group of maybe a 100 Tory MPs breaking away from the party. A lot of these MPs will have big mandates from their constituents too.

The other big issue at the moment is how close we actually are to a no deal Brexit. I know most people have now dismissed that idea because both the British and European parliaments are so steadfastly against it. But with 13 days to go until we are due to leave we still need to come up with an exit strategy acceptable to the EU, parliament will still have to accept the conditions that the EU will undoubtedly put on the extension to article 50, and all 27 EU states will individually need to agree to the extension. This will go down to the wire.
As things stand, I don't even know who I would vote for, could vote for. It will indeed go to the wire, and then some probably. The divisions in the UK are very apparent at the moment, none more so than here in Scotland. It is only something I have noticed since living here, but just how much Scotland is treated with disdain by the HOC. I've stated before and I stand by it that I truly believe the UK will be broken up in the next few years. If British politics get an overhaul due to it, then it won't all have been in vain.
(I don't post much in this thread, but I do use it as a learning tool. You as a brexiteer certaintly bring a lot to the table, and it's good to hear reasoned debate from both sides)

I feel like Brexit has revealed how confused people are on how government is supposed to work. The elected officials are supposed to make decisions for the people who elect them. They are elected to have knowledge above what the common man knows. So this whole canceling Brexit is ruining democracy thing is manure. Even if a referendum is held it is the job of the people in parliament to say sorry guys but I've looked at this and I'm not doing it. If the people don't like that they can vote that person out. But driving the country off the cliff because people who didn't understand fully what the Brexit vote meant voted to leave is not how representative government should function.

Jon Snows apparently received death threats for saying he’d “never seen so many white people before” when reporting on yesterday’s rally.
Proper cowards these people making anonymous death threats on social media. The technical ability to cover their tracks makes you wonder who or what is behind them, but the number and frequency of them is very disturbing and worrying. It must be absolutely horrible for the recipients.

You do have to question why Jon Snow felt the need to make such a comment in the first place. It was obviously intended to be provocative. I can only assume that he never went to the peoples vote march at the weekend as he would have seen many more white people than he did outside Parliament yesterday.
