Only professionals can use it though atm. I can still buy it, but I have to acquire it in a less conventional manner (didn't use to be the case; you always had to wear a safety-suit though and it's only safe to use under certain weather conditions). The variety you find meant for normal lawns isn't as potent. There isn't a good alternative though. I keep track of the acidity of my pastures, use agricultural lime and fertilize in a timely manner, adequately mow etc...

It's related to my struggle with ragwort. Very poisonous when eaten (irritation if you touch it), full of alkaloids, and it's cumulative; once it's in your body you ain't getting it out. Normally they don't eat it since it's bitter, but when it dies they eat it (hence it's of the utmost importance that you're able to buy safe hay etc...). I normally remove ragwort manually with a tool that also removes the roots, but you obviously can't do that if you're producing hay. Oh and if you're removing ragwort occasionally you have a passer-by that claims that you should not remove it since it has pretty yellow flowers and it's very good for certain butterflies. It results in liver-disease (cirhossis etc...) and death, the butterfly will have to find something else to eat.

In short I don't think they will ban similar products (unless a better alternative arises), because it would create very big problems.
They are trying to ban the translocation glysophate weedkiller which will remove your ragwort.......

May hopes to hold fourth vote on Brexit deal

May: one last vote or it's a general election

What is wrong with her? Maybe she fancies the trend, it was 100 something margin now only 58, and the fourth vote she could snatch it somehow. But will Bercow allow it? This is a comedy, you can't ask the same questions over and over again.

They'll change the political declaration possibly to make it different.

If she had any sense whatsoever, she'd make it contingent on a second referendum. Just the withdrawal agreement with no political aim suggested afterwards. It's a very obvious compromise to get the numbers in the Commons to get it through.

That'd force the 'remainers' to come into line as it gives them a chance of remaining, and it'd force the 'Leavers' with the choice of losing Brexit by voting against leaving or backing her and being able to make an argument for Britain's future outside the EU in the referendum. She can do this now easily because the idiots Johnson and Rees-Mogg have actually backed her deal in a vote, so they can no longer argue about the substance of it.

But she won't do it because of her own stupid red lines. She bent over for too long to the right wing fanatics to the point she can't compromise now. It was a 52/48 referendum - difficulties in the HoC could have been her green light to steer the thing down the middle and put it back to the people, using parliament as the excuse. Instead, for some inexplicable reason, she's used it as a noose around her own neck instead of a weapon to use.

A satirical news website predicted this a few weeks ago.

I'm lost for words.

And a General Election will do exactly what? Baring a few shocks and retirements, mostly the same people will get re-elected, have the same remain or leave views.
Yup. In all likelihood we’ll be in a very similar position afterwards. Don’t think there is a great deal of public desire for this no matter what your political persuasion. People mainly want clarity on Brexit at present.

Won't happen
But all candidates should forswear party politics and stand as pure Remain or Leave and let the people again decide...but thats just a 2nd vote by the back door so forget that.
So more of the same it is then
