Its not the weed killer form of salt it's an entirely different compound.

You can go to the shops and buy Sodium Chloride as Salt, but not Sodium Chlorate (notice the difference in name as a result of the increase in Oxygen atoms) because one is hazardous.

The chemical formulas are not more or less the same. Sodium chlorate is an oxidising agent and very reactive, as all oxidising agents are. Sodium chloride is pretty inert. Honestly, you do not know what you are talking about.
