Well May has made a right mess of it - so now its damage limitation with a deal that takes us out of the the polictical union, the four freedoms, with sensible replacements, and gives us a free trade deal - imo part two ie a free trade deal should be negotiated asap legally trying to solve the irish backstop in phase 2 - that would imo fly through parliment all we have is a very poor leaving deal atm....... phase 2 ie the trade deal could somehow adjust that, with the problems it has.......
This could be negotiated in our favour that indicative vote thing is a farce.... fetching it back so -hey they the MPs use PPR yet the public cannot in a GE?........
Then have a 2nd vote on Monday ?..... on about having their cake, and eating it totally farcical.......
plus the votes are not binding, and also they will be whipped on Monday.......
It will still be an impasse......
You do realise @Joey66 that the EU will look for a deal that is favourable to their 27 member states and no look to make things easy for Britain
Britain despite a populist opinion does not hold all the cards
The Great went out of Great Nritisn a long time ago in Europe’s eyes

I don't care about the EU - We should have had a free trade deal by now, and have left the polictical union - total mismanagement by May she will go after today's events.......

Name those two countries and state if they have had internal borders drawn up by a foreign power, implemented and imposed by that foreign power against the overwhelming majority of the citizens of that country and particularly despised by those living closest to it, edge.

If you fail do that then maybe you will begin to understand the uniqueness of the situation in Ireland and why the people of Ireland, and those of us in the Irish diaspora in England and beyond, will not meekly consent to that border manifesting itself again, either physically or with this wondrous new “technology” just because the English never for one nano second considerd how Brexit would affect Ireland and are now looking for us to roll over and accommodate them.

To quote somebody somewhere.......to hell with your English border.

You invented it....you live with the consequences of it.

Let me iterate for the benefit of Brexiteers new to this thread....and to remind those whom have been with us from the start.

Today you would be having Brexit on very decent terms and we could all be looking toward the future.

This is what was agreed between the EU and the UK in November 2017.

Great Britain was out.

The unique situation in NI was recognised and understood and that province was to be given the mother of all sweetheart deals.

It would remain in the UK and stay, to all intents and purposes, in the EU.

That deal was sunk because of the DUP and the ERG.

And you have wound up with the prospect of that deal encompassing the whole of the UK.

So if any Brexiteer is feeling sorry for themselves this morning, I heard a depressed Rees Mogg practically crying into his corn flakes this morning, they have good cause so to do.

But don’t point the finger of blame at the EU.

Don’t look towards Dublin for a scapegoat.

Do not even fault the hapless Mrs. May for this.

Look towards the real culprits to see why you are still in the EU today.

Blame Rees Mogg.....Johnson.....the preposterous Francois....that Dodds fellow....and our old friend Sammy Tache among many others in Westminster.

It is purely because they have peddled the fiction that Northern Ireland is no different from Northern England, when it very obviously is, that is leading you down the route to either No Deal penury or a second Referendum or indeed no Brexit at all.

Happy Non Brexit Day, chaps :pint2:
Saudi Arabia is one and it meets all you criteria trailing IBM system since 2018, try and find the other one clue it's in the far east, it's a got version of find wally:p

Exactly unless you were at the coal face in your job - you would not see the ludicrous laws the EU fetched out... don't get me wrong they did fetch out necessary ones, but they just pile them in and in for the sake of it....
OK here's one for you the EU will not ban the pellet pesticide I know as Temic planted with most food crops, it's affecting our Bee population as its a systemic metabolism of that chemical kills most crop pest ..... imo and most scientist the Bee when pollinating is absorbing this chemical and dying......
Yet when I used it on ornamental plants under glass -why did I used to have too get dressed up like a spaceman ?
that was in the late 1970;s - ?.............
I will tell every vegetarian unless any crop is not certified organic - Vegetables are or can be just as toxic as meat....
Under glass before I retired I was moving away from pesticides to pest predators, more expensive way but a hell of a lot more effective, and safer.......
Aldicarb is banned by the EU.

Im pretty sure it's what was being made at Bhopal.

Temic is the licensed name of the chemical Aldicarb Joey.

It`s banned in Europe, for all the reasons you`ve mentioned.

No bees = no pollination = no crops= no food.

No surprise, it`s made by the industrial giant - Bayer, who I suspect have very powerful people on board looking after their interests.

I`m with you all the way on this one Joey.
Heroin as a cough medicine you say?

the upper and middle class remainers have never noticed a recession or austerity though... its just a measure to ensure cheap labour.
The British govt has continuously blocked EU attempts on improving workers rights
Minimum wage standards , maximum working week, holidays , zero hour contracts all attempts to improve these or ban them altogether stopped by the British representatives in Britain
We applaud football clubs for paying their workers a living wage which they only barely exist on rather than a minimum wage
The EU for all it’s faults has done more for workers than any British or Irish political party

There is a disputed border up the middle of Saudi Arabia?

I think not :)

For someone who is of the left and Eu remain and given the circumstances, she is doing just great when it comes to Brexit. Long may she continue.

this is why there are 'recessions' in cycles of about 10-15 years..... to keep the rich in power and the working class on their knees.

The EU have done nothing to curtail this whatsoever

The vast majority of people who are rich today come from families who were rich 100 years ago
The vast majority of the working class are better off than their grandparents
The first has nothing to do with the EU
The second has

Just realized , what the hell am I doing in this thread I haven't a horse in this race anymore ,. Just posting out of habit, bit like turn up in parliament fighting the same fight every other day.

Missed the internal borders bit , got me with that one
Plenty of borders around it though, and everybody hates them even worse than the DUP so that must count for something

But you can’t have the cherry on the cake in isolation Joey , you have to take the whole cake , or accept a second rate slightly bitter cherry
