I'm not talking about Labours proposal Joey. Unless I'm mistaken, they want us to remain a member of the EUs custom union and single market which is different. It's pretty much staying in the EU.

I'm talking about a separate arrangement negotiated between the EU and the UK to facilitate the free movement of goods and trade. This should negate the need for a backstop re Ireland.

And the eu would rightly tell us to sod off. The four freedoms are unnegotiable, and if you blush at having a polish bloke next to you at tesco then shame on you.

I don’t won’t it but I’ll take it , it’s certainly preferable compared to no deal .I’m still not convinced it’ll make it though , given the position of the DUP , it’ll certainly be closer though .

If Boris votes for it having said it’s worse than actually being in the EU he’s probably even worse than JRM.
The problem everybody has, both in parliament and in the press, is that they've all dissed it off as the worst possible agreement. In reality it is only a legal withdrawal agreement and a set of guidelines for the further discussions on the future agreement.

At the end of the day, the withdrawal agreement on the table is the only way we are going to leave the EU. That isn't changing. The backstop is an issue for some, but to move forward you have to trust that the EU want a trade deal a much as we do. I think the way are trying to avoid a no deal is proof of that. The stand off has to end. The opposition have seemingly been OK with the withdrawal agreement. Their issue is with the future relationship document, which at the end of the day is only a set of guidelines. But because everybody has spent so much time saying how terrible it is they are all now frightened to backtrack.

It's absolutely crazy how our politicians have got themselves into this position. All it takes is for the UK and EU to agree on a bilateral customs and trade deal, which they pledge to work towards within the future relationship document, and a lot of fears and concerns have been removed. Including the dreaded backstop.

I really don't think this deal is anywhere near as bad as most have been saying. And it represents an outcome where both sides (remain and leave) have made a concession which is required of the country is going to come together gain.

Exactly even if there is a consensus on a say Canada plus with a custom union to solve the Irish backstop etc etc whatever deal we will still need a withdraw agreement which I am sure the EU will dominate proceedings on .....
Joey. The withdrawal agreement is on the table. That isn't changing. We either sign it, leave with no deal or stay in the EU.

Well put.

I think the main issue is that it isn't all things to all people, so it pleases no one. It's pretty much keeping us in but without the current benefits but without letting us leave fully.

In some respects she's compromised where others will not.

If I’m honest I think there are other ways it could all pan out but In reality when faced by a no deal Brexit I’m probably leaning towards it and have been for a while . I think it’s awful and frankly how anyone thinks it’s better then where we currently are baffles me but it might be the only option . Tomorrow is a massive day , the latest in the list of massive days .

It's definitely better than a no deal. I think the most likely options now though are long extension or revocation.

That's typical of what I have come to expect from you Bruce. You're all conciliatory one moment and then come out with quotes like this completely out of the blue. How dare you insinuate I'm racist. You actually are a disgrace.

I seriously would put you on ignore if I had the choice.
