I don’t want it but I’ll take it , it’s certainly preferable compared to no deal .I’m still not convinced it’ll make it though , given the position of the DUP , it’ll certainly be closer though .

If Boris votes for it having said it’s worse than actually being in the EU he’s probably even worse than JRM.

I'm not talking about Labours proposal Joey. Unless I'm mistaken, they want us to remain a member of the EUs custom union and single market which is different. It's pretty much staying in the EU.

I'm talking about a separate arrangement negotiated between the EU and the UK to facilitate the free movement of goods and trade. This should negate the need for a backstop re Ireland.

You are correct in that we can't negotiate this deal until after we agree withdrawal agreement, so there has to be an element of trust involved that the EU won't stitch us up. This works both ways of course.

Exactly even if there is a consensus on a say Canada plus with a custom union to solve the Irish backstop etc etc whatever deal we will still need a withdraw agreement which I am sure the EU will dominate proceedings on .....
