1922 committee asked May for a meeting. May decided not to bother.

One of her personal friends and ex attorney general pretty much accused her of treating the HOC in contempt.

Had better days Rodney.

She seems to have been doing what she likes for the last two years. No accountability to parliament at all. Not sure I've ever seen anything like it.

why would any other country want to leave the EU though ??? we are the only ones stupid enough to try it , we are getting told.

is it because it is terribly run , and just a money making machine for a FIFA'esq leadership I wonder

You are looking at it as it stands now. Why wouldn't everyone leave if there was a have your cake and eat it option? They get back laws that will quell the right in each country and everyone wins as they still in the single market but don't have free movement etc. etc.

That is what some people on here thought the EU would give us and it was never going to happen.

Well I guess the countries who are net recipients of EU cash would have second thoughts.

A lot of countries in Europe regard free movement as the beautiful thing it is. It's kinda sad when the ability to live, study and work wherever you like is branded as a 'cost' rather than an enormous benefit. It's beyond any doubt that countries and regions with higher levels of migration are more innovative and prosperous than those without. It's a shame our politicians and our media haven't done a better job of reporting that basic fact so we didn't have this culture whereby people are scared of foreigners and think they're here to do wrong.

Common sense tells you this - if migrants want to move to your country to work and live, it's because your country is doing something right.

It's utterly bizarre that we see it as anything else. The problem isn't the EU - it's the failure of the UK to adapt and embrace multiculturalism.

Even when we have housing crisis, homeless crisis, NHS crisis...
