When it happens all the time mate it becomes tiresome. The demographics of this thread mean I'm continually defending myself, quite often against 3 or 4 at the same time. And it isn't always polite either.

Basically, I'm somebody who believes not everything is black and white. That people make their own choices and make them for a reason that suits them. I respect that and ask the same in return. I don't get that in here. What I get is people telling me I'm wrong. Nobody say's fair do's, I disagree with you but you're entitled to your opinion. I'd happily accept that but people aren't saying that.

Bottom line is I don't like people telling me what I should and shouldn't do. I don't particularly mind being challenged, except when it's the same thing over and over. It's having your response summarily dismissed I don't like.

Anyway, it'll probably do my heath better if I stayed out of here for a while. Which is a shame really as we're getting towards the nitty gritty and I was quite looking forward to the deadline day special.:)
See the problem is if you're stating your opinion in direct opposition to factual evidence, then you should expect to be challenged. Nobody is going to say 'i respect your opinion' if it is not grounded in evidence or factual.

I could say 'i think the moon is made of cheese' now you might challenge me on that and say 'it definitely isn't'.

If my fallback is 'well it's my opinion so you should respect it' I'm not sure you would.

You know what I meant.

I've never actually heard of her but then I never took much of an interest in politics which is why I said "as far as I'm aware" The old get out of anything clause.

By the way Bruce, I wasn't very enamoured with your post the other day comparing Brexit voters now with pre war Germans. If I'm correct you were saying that the way Brexit voters are taking on information from Leave campaigners/politicians is similar to the German people of the 1930s taking on board Nazi values from Hitler. Think that's a bit of a leap to take personally.

It wasn't so much that people are taking on Nazi values, but more that people seem completely unwilling to listen to any counterveiling evidence. That's not all, of course, and you have been quite refreshing on that front, but many are completely head in the sand.

Nothing you said was funny.

You see, Barnfred, this is the kind of crap I, and others who voted Leave, have endured for the last 2 years or more, ever before you entered the thread.

Constant sniping at EVERY little thing that is posted. They never give up.

This will probably elicit another response. Keep watching, it's bound to come...

Its not sniping mate. Its just a response.

Like you will take your photo, good for you. But after that, what are you most looking forward to when we leave? That we dont already have.

You can call it what you want, roydo. You know full well what I am talking about!

Not interested in answering your question in the second paragraph. Again, for reasons you know full well. Surprised you asked that of me, really...
