I don't think I'd be happy, but let's not forget the near 40 years of 'leave campaigning' since we signed up to Europe. Also, it wouldn't happen as we would have a consensus of opinion and no actual further decisions to make. We would simply remain. I just wanted you to acknowledge that you wouldn't be happy. I wouldn't be too sure about it not happening though. If remain had won the last vote I'm pretty certain the Brexiteers would be doing their best to overturn the result, in much the same way you guys have.

I also said I would think it's undemocratic, but that its different in so much as allowing the UK to exercise it's own democratic process rather than frustrating it.
Not sure what you're saying here. remember we're talking about the principle here.

Thing is it doesn’t really suit any of the EU countries to block an extension as the likely outcome then is no deal (as I can’t see May’s deal getting through). No deal is by no means a good outcome for them when a potential deal or us remaining is still on the table.

I may be completely wrong but that’s how I see it.
I agree mate.

There have been rumours though. Spain over Gibraltar. The French, probably over fishing rights. The other 2 I've heard were Poland and Italy, but not sure why they would be against it. Especially Poland who are getting well subsidised and you'd think they'd be the first to follow orders.

You can dress it up any way you want, but at the end of the day I haven't come across one person who voted to leave who is now asking for a peoples vote. Obviously I wouldn't dream of speaking on behalf of other Brexit voters, but the only people I see requesting this second vote are people who want to remain in the EU. So let's be honest here and stop pretending this is anything other than an attempt to overturn the result of the first referendum.

Having said that, I can't say I blame you and I'm pretty sure that if Remain had won, then those supporting Brexit would be doing their best to overturn the result too. Should a second referendum be allowed?. That's above my pay grade but common sense would suggest that once you have a second vote you set a precedent for the future. Also what questions do you ask. If it's leave or no deal, you alienate the people who still want to leave with a deal. If it's leave or May's deal, you alienate those who want to leave on a different deal or even no deal. Either way your not catering for a large part of the electorate which can hardly be described as democratic.

Personally I don't believe a people's vote will solve the mess we're in. If leave wins you're not going to stop campaigning and vice versa if remain wins. Plus no side has the power t see it through in Parliament. So I'd skip a referendum completely and go straight for a general election to see of one side can get a strong enough mandate in parliament to see it through one way or another.
funnily enough I’ve met and talked to a fair few people who voted leave but are now actively asking for a second referendum. The reasons they gave included, “this is not the Brexit we wanted” and “we weren’t fully aware of the implications of leaving the EU”.

Not all of them had changed their minds to vote remain but they were united in their call for a second referendum.

And the strangest thing of all was that I met and talked to these people on the first people’s vote March in London!

Whatever happens in the future all of us have seen politicians on both sides of the fence playing games and making personal decisions when they should have been acting in the interests of the constituents they represent. So why not put it back to the people? Sure your going to alienate some parts of the populace but it’s better than those slimy politicians making a complete arse of the whole thing.

I also don’t believe a GE will solve anything. Labour are a complete mess and the conservatives will have someone like Gove in charge FFS!

Fair do's. I haven't come across any but I suppose going to a march in favour of it would be the place to do it;)

Just say you have a people's vote and Remain come out on top, what are you going to do with it. You need parliament to make it happen for you and they've proved they aren't up to the task and the main reason for that is there's no majority. The only way to change that is an election sadly. Fully take on board what you say about the respective parties though.

I hate all politicians at the moment but it's a toss up between Cameron and Goves as to who's face I'm pinning to my dart board.
