How she hasn't resigned is beyond me. Totally shameless.

I thought this six weeks ago. But now we've reached a stage where she can literally survive anything. She's taking the flack for the ineptitude of the entire tory government, and her colleagues are happy for her to continue to bear the brunt of it. I actually feel sorry for her at this point.

I would feel sorry for her, but there was a point where she could have walked and she stubbornly chose not to for her own selfish ends

May will tell MPs to pass deal by next Wednesday or face long Brexit deal, Commons told
John Bercow, the speaker, is reading out the motion for tomorrow.
  • The government motion tabled for tomorrow sets next Wednesday as the deadline for MPs to pass a Brexit deal. It says, if a deal is passed by then, the government will seek an extension of article 50 until 30 June. But if the deal is not passed by then, then the government will need a longer extension, requiring the UK to take part in European elections, the motion says.
Bercow stresses that the motion will be amendable.

I think this is heading in the direction of a lengthy delay to brexit, potentially indefinitely. At which point she will resign, and a new tory leader will fight a general election. I think there will be one in June or thereabouts.

The issue of the European elections is the one I'm not sure about. There will be so much anger if millions are spent to hold them.

I tell you what, if we do have a General Election then one of the third parties should just outright say that they'll repeal article 50 and stay in the EU and run with it as their chief policy

If they win the Election, then the public will have given them a binding mandate to withdraw A50. It will essentially overrule the initial referendum, which wasn't legally binding in the same way a GE would be
