Sterling has just hit $1.33 for the first time since 28th February. That’s a gain of over two cents, or 1.8%, as the currency enjoys its best day of 2019.

As you can see, the pound’s having a volatile week - rising on Monday as Theresa May headed for talks with Jean-Claude Juncker, then plunging on Tuesday when attorney general Cox didn’t change his legal advice on the backstop.

Where are you copying and pasting this from mickey?

I thought May had given Tory MP’s a free vote.
She did,but this mp spellman tabled an amendment to the original motion which the tories whipped against, but still ended up losing because a lot of tories including cabinet ministers either abstained or voted against the whip.

Then the govt lost the vote on the original motion.

Absolutely unheard of!

Let's put it this way, roydo, and you know I have posted this before, almost certainly more than once in this thread.

I made my own mind up about how I voted in the 2016 referendum, based on years being outside the Common Market, and decades of being within it and the European Union.

Now if you, or anyone else, thinks I didn't, then there's nothing more I can say.

I'm not sure how old you are, but we've been in the Common Market for 44 years, so even if you're 70 (which I believe you're not), you would have had perhaps 6 years of your adult life outside of the common market. I believe from memory that Joe is also under 70 so would have had very little practical experience either.
