No, we don't. We have limited / zero control over EU wide immigration. And that is what people voted for.... controlled immigration. Not no immigration, just controlled immigration. England is the most densely populated country in Europe and the free movement of people is imbalanced against us.
No mate. The most densely populated country is the Netherlands, apparently......

The UK government announced this morning that the UK will not introduce any new checks or controls on goods moving across the land border into Northern Ireland if the UK leaves the European Union without a deal. 'However, tariffs will be payable on goods moving from the EU into the rest of the UK via Northern Ireland under a schedule of rates also released this morning.' Tariffs will be introduced on all goods arriving in the UK from the Republic of Ireland.

This is bound to lead to an avoidance of paying tariffs, because as in the case with the movement of people, NI can be used as a back door route for goods entering the UK.

Surely the DUP and ERG would be steadfastly opposed to these measures that would treat NI differently that the rest of the UK and thus not maintain the union.

Tories spolintering all over the shop now.

Brexiteer 15 ministers thrreatening to resign if they cant have a free vote on their "Malthouse" agreement.

May is on borrowed time now, for real.

I see the Tory Party - the party of big business - has all but had war declared on it by big business today.

That's clever Theresa. Do you have any other neat tricks up your sleeve?

:coffee:

Its become a complete and utter mess whichever way you voted,May can't get a deal to appease anybody,a 2nd referendum just puts everything back to the beginning,a general election will be the two main parties scared to take an in or out stance

This whole second referendum.

What is leave wins again?

What if remain wins by a minority ?

Surely a small split in the vote would then cause noise from the people who want to leave AND already won that vote once before

It would destroy UK politics
If it confirms people want May’s deal or no deal then so be it. If it confirms people want to remain then we can start to put this nightmare behind us.

U.K. politics is in a mess whatever happens.

Inappropriate Language
It's a pointless exercise. These marches always are, they're set up by pretentious fools who sincerely believe our politicians will be forced to listen if "the people" make enough noise. They're wrong. If Brexit has proven anything it's that politicians will ignore everyone and anyone on all sides when it suits them. Over a million people marched over the illegal Iraq War (i was one of them) and were totally ignored. If we ignore the first referendum or have a second then you can be quite certain that it the decision to do so had absolutely nothing to do with those marches, it was purely based the whims of our politicians who have nothing but contempt for all of us.
I’ll be marching - don’t give a fuk what you think

TBH, I think the jigs up for you and people who want Brexit.

I was for Remain (just and with little enthusiasm for a capitalists club), but I always have respected the result of the referendum and believe that it had to be fully implimented.

However, it isn't going to happen. A coup against a democratic mandate has been successfully carried out.

That's the system for you. You've been had off, along with 17.4m others.
