Hopefully we will leave with no deal in a few weeks time......

It's frustrating and sad that you couldn't give two poos about the history in your lifetime of NI and ROI.

Your goal is so absolute...the devil in the details means fk all to you because a very narrow margin agreed with you. It's frustrating mostly because you aren't willing to even consider the worst case scenario as a possible reality.

Instead you just blow sunshine at Brexit...or pretend that the negative Nanncies are just fear mongering enemies.

Make your mind up. On the one hand we will starve because no food will arrive from the EU, and on the other we won’t be able to sell our food to the EU, so will just have to eat it I assume.....

The fact is the UK cannot support itself with food even if we wanted, too much of the land such as channel Islands and Cornwall have long been developed and tax havens off. We overproduce in some areas but nowhere to be self sufficient. And what we could keep just for ourselves would be nothing like a healthy balanced diet.

He is peer reviewed publication so no tribalism Brexit, just an opinion shared by people working to manage our health responding to Brexit. Basically cancer treatment could be rationed.

Just read through the 'disinformation and Fake News: final report' from the Digital, Culture, media and sport Committee.

Well worth a read. Particularly the foreign influence in political campaigns and a request to strengthen bribery legislation. It also notes the relationship between the DUP, Vote Leave and Constitutional Research Council* (there really is nothing like talking taking back control of your own sovereignty!)

Conclusions are here: https://publications.parliament.uk/pa/cm201719/cmselect/cmcumeds/1791/179112.htm#_idTextAnchor082

*Go and research them, they seem completely above board

Honestly, I think we're screwed!

Exporting food is going to have the biggest impact than importing. The Government has already stated that there’ll be no additional border checks on agri-food from the EU and seeing as we are literally copying EU regs to British regs all third country agri-food has procedures in place to that will be as is.

The problem is that the free trade acceptance of eu products opens up a massive void in economy which will be exploited by criminals.

Companies exporting to the EU will be hardest hit, especially farmers as all exporting establishments need to approved by directorate F in accordance with EU regulations prior to goods being accepted by them.

The agriculture industry in Ireland are in panic mode as they could be facing 50-60% WTO tariffs on exports to the UK which will decimate their industry.

It will be an utter disaster for both sides whichever way you look at it.

I’ve had a look at the tariffs and I think I’ve posted them in here before; agrifood products vary widely. It’s why I don’t like it when people say the “average” increase on WTO is minimal because for certain every day items some products are quite high. Think 50-60% is quite a stretch though, more 30-40% iirc
