Typical of your lot this.... trying to do....down British achievement.....you couldn't wait to do down this Countries achievements in favour of Merkels darlings in the EU.

Proof, from a reputable and trustworthy source. Frank invented it and now your lot are revising history.... typical

Not revising history at all. Go read up on Ohain.

Oh, and there is this...

The grey haired guy in the photo with me led the front-line trials (development and testing) jet fighter-bomber unit in the late summer of 1944, Kommando Schenck, and then led (as Geschwaderkommodore) the first operational jet fighter-bomber unit of the war, KG51(J). He ended the war as the last 'Inspector of Jet Fighters' for the Third Reich in the German Air Ministry.

Much as I would like to claim us British invented the jet engine, JEBUS, fact is, we didn't.

And I will always back up my assertions with facts.

Keep on taking the P and you will get reported ok!
I have been labled a Kopite twice by another poster
Also total ridicule from you so :bye:
Again, I've said earlier in the thread that on both sides nuance is being lost and Brexit is becoming a distraction on issues.

Your response to that was 'you lost get over it'

Since that point I've agreed with you that the Honda decision is not solely down to Brexit but a combination of factors.

To which you replied 'I post drivel most days'.

Maybe you need a time out.

Didn't help them in the war though did it....
Another UK victory that you want us to forget about.

I'm quite liking my new found ability to disregard any evidence in favour of my own opinion. If that fails I'll just change the narrative.

I get what you are saying but people are still buying cars, whether or not they are diesel. This isn't a specific diesel engine plant so that can't be the out and out reason. The UK should have been pushing to keep hold of Honda and get them to invest in the future technology so electric cars are built here but they couldn't promise anything because at the moment we can't tell what that will look like as we are in total paralysis over (guess what?), yes Brexit.

Perhaps. Of course if that is the case then it’s not over yet, a lot can happen between leaving the EU and 2021.....

Question unemployment down again the best figures for 40 years also companies have invested in the U.K. Since Brexit
I repeat any uncertainty in a country will hamper the economy, but we are doing far better than the Eurozone......

Question, How many hours work does a person have to do to so not to be included in unemployment figures?

Well for the sake of the people that work there let's hope so. But even if May's deal gets ratified we will be in the same position in March 2021. This time it will be we haven't found a workable situation to not avoid using the backstop and you'll have one side calling for an immediate hard exit and another calling for a new vote/renegotiation etc. Bottom line is we won't get to a place where we have a clear understanding of what will happen in time.

  1. No, they got whupped ultimately.
  2. You are joking! The last thing I want to do is forget about that UK (shared) victory in May 1945. Whatever are you thinking about, JEBUS? It's history. It's over. We move on.

Now, what have I just been listening to? Oh yeah, 'Won't back down' by Tom Petty. Teresa May's present signature tune. I told ya, the soddin' songs are everywhere! :D
