We will sign carry over agreements. They have already done so with Switzerland and the other biggies will follow suit. What the list does show is just how bad the EU have been in put trade agreements in place. They only got their finger out once Brexit was voted for.....

Yes, I know, 'we' will do all manner of great things. 'We've' heard that a lot since 2016. The actual evidence of that doing is somewhat thin on the ground thus far though. When will 'we' have all those trade deals signed that Fox was trumpeting? Indeed, when will your side do any of what they promised?

But we are one of the three main paymasters at the moment. We are just disposing of influence by bowing out

Influence over what ? The EU has become what many ‘corporate bodies’ become, a maker of rules and regulations to keep the rule makers in a job. Every organisation at some point rips up its ‘corporate’ organisations and starts again. The EU needs to do the same but they never will......

Our side is everyone who lives in the U.K. The day you realise that a vote was taken, an answer given and a country that must now make as good a job of it as possible, is the day you realise what our democracy is all about......

So are you saying that the other 36 countries no longer wish to trade with us......

'course they do. They'll also bend us over a barrel for the privilege as they know we have absolutely no bargaining position.

And so they should, because they have no political reason not to do so.

But if "our democracy" means not being able to change our mind, why do we have elections? Anyway, constitutionally the referendum was not legally binding. Parliament remains sovereign. Time to take back control?

No bureaucracy is perfect. Certainly the EU is not. Too much power lies with the commission, and not enough with the parliament, which can at times be reduced to a talking shop. But we will never be able to influence change from the outside. And what EU regulations do you not like? Data protection? Consumer protection? Vehicle safety? Flight delay compensation? Employment rights? And shouldn't a common market have common rules?

...

What are you on about. I voted to enter the EEC, I voted to leave the EU. They are two completely different entities. One was economic and one is now Political. No one voted to enter a political union.....now what’s all this fear mongering of which you speak.....

Have you forgotten the day after day blitzkreig of immigrant fear mongering done in the British press in the lead up to the vote?

Fear mongering that Germany finally found out a way to finally win WWII by EU takeover, when British autonomy is not at stake.

Fear mongering that Germany would lead an EU military.

They are our friends when they want something. If you can name a single EU state that would come to our aid in case of war or economic decline, please tell me who they are. Now if I posed the same question of the USA, Canada, Australia or New Zealand my guess would be all four.......

If only there was some war in the past forty years where that had happened.

Oh wait....
