So Gavin Williamson wants to up Britain's use of hard power against growing threats, such as Russia, in the aftermath of Brexit to 'reinvent our image in the world', yet it's the mirage of the EU Army that will be poking Russia. @peteblue you're being mugged off here.

It's really starting to become increasingly comical ('increase the lethality of the U.K's military'). Oh and also off course increasing the projection of soft-power (I did wonder why I saw 'Cycle England' on television in every CX ...) etc ...

Still I think you have to agree out is the only way atm; there's no basis to reverse the whole thing, Weyand (like most of the time) is correct in saying that a structured exit (with respect for the North of Ireland) is the best you can hope for at this point.

They will probably do what is good for their countries, and for the EU. We are leaving the EU so they will not necessarily do what is good for us, unless it is also good for them.

The most likely outcome at this point is just slowly picking away at the U.K.'s industries tbf. I think I linked it somewhere in this thread; the plan of most of the economies in the E.U.: a gradual process, opening up advantages/sector.

Just read the thread....
Right I've given it a go across the early thread, most of your comments are about an EU army, immigration, 'them needing us more than we need them' and linking articles that say 'Britain can be great' without any actual substance. Is that what you want me to take away from this opportunity for you to really outline why it's such a good idea?

More lately you've argued that everyone expected an economic hit, that you can't have a view on a matter of you haven't lived through it and your surname isn't related to it.
I'm not sure this qualifies as discernable benefits. @peteblue

You only read part of the thread,,,,

Now you are being silly again. Just put your point of view across...don’t just reply to a post.....tell us what you actually think and how it may or may not work out......it’s not black or white....

But Pete, you have read the thread, and seem to have come away with nothing from the 48% (or 64.5% of GOT forum voters) who voted to stay in, or people who might have changed their minds.
£350 million a week for the NHS.....

Still believe in that?

I still believe that £350 M per week is available for the U.K. to do what it’s wishes. What it is spent on the government will decide. The big issue though, because this £350M is peanuts, is what we do to generate more trade.....
