I spoke to someone who voted remain and he stated he wished he'd have voted leave after seeing the way the EU has treated us these last few days.

So my question is, has anyone had second thoughts about the way they voted. I mean either way, in hindsight would you change your vote from Leave to remain or vice versa or vote the same.

I voted leave and did question myself. But for me the EU has become too powerful, Ireland and the Lisbon treaty for one, the French and Dutch in 2005 as well.

You talk about the EU like we're not part of it. Like we did not help draft the rules and steer it where it goes.

We are the EU.

The EU27 are doing exactly what we'd want them to do if it was Spain or France choosing to exit. They are protecting their members. The person you spoke to is an idiot.

I voted remain. My only regret is I didn't campaign more vociferously for it.

But would that belief drive you to undermine the U.K., side with the EU against the negotiating position of the U.K., provide comfort and support to the EU against U.K. interests. I’m guessing no, but there are a fair few MP’s who would.....

I believe that staying in the EU is in the UK's best interests. I accept that you don't agree, but there's no need to impune people's motives.

UKIP are referring to this as being a traitor.Wonder how long before the Tory right start the same refrain.

That idiot could well be Jacob Rees Mogg, listening to him last night it sounded he had some epiphanies, one, he has come to the conclusion he wants to leave the EU, like that's a revelation, however, number two, extending Article 50 is now a good idea. Idiots the lot of them.

Amazing retort. I'm blown away by your reasoning.

The best deal is the one we have at the moment.

Despite what you may read in the Daily Mail or the Express the UK has control over its borders and immigration policy, it's not dictated by Brussels. We have access to a massive market not just within the EU but outside, due to the trade agreements that the EU develop and negotiate, which the UK is involved in. You can see them all here - http://ec.europa.eu/trade/policy/countries-and-regions/ Then of course there is the EU Standardisation. It'd much prefer that the Strawberries I am able to eat all year round, whether they are grown in the UK during season, or importing out of season from the likes of Spain (as I did the other day, £1.65 from Tesco, a good price), will be of the same quality regardless of their origin.
The best deal was before we joined the common market we got conned- we were better of in the commonwealth.....
Food prices were cheaper purchase tax was only 3-7 percent- depending on what goods you purchased - overnight VAT came in at 10 percent to pay the stupid membership fee - Ted Heath never even gave us a vote ..........just took us in ....
Amazing we would settle for that deal now without the membership fee.......it just created butter mountains, wheat mountains, wine mountains all rotting in buildings as greedy farmers capitalised on the common Agricultural policy where the more you prodypuced the more they got free grants......
The EU has never worked ........

If there was a second vote I’d doubt I would go and vote again. It just defeats the object of the democratic process.
We have voted and leave won, albeit a close result. I voted to leave.

It’s when I see politicans particularly from Labour ( I am a Labour voter), saying we need a second vote as the first was too close.

If we have a general election and Labour win by the same margins, should we then have another general election as surely according to some this vote would have been too close as well?

The whole things a mess and as I say I doubt I would bother with a second vote, I just don’t see the point.
I hope I’m making some sense here as I feel that I’m not..

How is this in any way acceptable? This is a UK mess. We need a UK solution.
The sheer arrogance of it. He actually thinks that Ireland should leave the EU as well in order to preserve the status quo if all else fails. Farage has come up with the same suggestion. It smacks of total desperation on their part.

I see a free trade agreement has been set up with Japan, excellent news. Japan wishes to do exactly the same with the U.K. when we leave the EU, also excellent news. It’s looking like we would be better off with a swift clean break from the EU so that the shackles can be thrown off and our exporters can get on with their jobs......

And it looks like EU and Japan trade deal is taking effect as Nissan has cancelled it's X trail production in Sunderland.

Sad times for people of Sunderland but the car industry requires the custom Union, not project fear just reality's of modern production.

Did they give a reason?
