Something that guarantees the continuation of peace, stability and co-operation isn't "stupid". In fact it is anything but.

Something that guarantees the continuation of peace, stability and co-operation isn't "stupid". In fact it is anything but.

The backstop will guarantee a No Deal. This will guarantee an EU hard border. This will guarantee a reduction in stability and peace.

Get rid of the backstop, and a Deal will be done. This guarantees a continuation of the status quo while a free trade agreement is put in place and processes to allow free movement over the Irish border.

If all you want is this backstop then you are going to be really disappointed. Personally, if the votes go as I expect tonight then the backstop will be removed by the EU......
