So after all these talks and failure to come up with anything workable, Am I imagining this but does the Brady amendment just say we’ll replace the backstop with ‘alternative arrangements ‘ which appears undefined and propose this as a solution?

Then on the Malthouse amendment haven’t the Eu said they’re not interested in opening the withdrawal agreement? Obviously we’ve negotiated that , they haven’t imposed it . The options are Perhaps the EU are saying something different In Private or is it more likely the tories are kidding themselves?
Apparently at the meeting of Conservative MP's last night she was asked twice to explain what her "alternative arrangements" might be and she couldn't answer. It's another excuse to kick the can down the road again.

Eu observer....

“British ignorance, dishonesty, and navel-gazing have made a no-deal Brexit "very" likely, a senior EU official has said.
The scenario would hurt both sides, but it would hurt the UK more, the official, Sabine Weyand, added, as British MPs prepared for another punch-up in parliament on Tuesday (29 January).”

“It would hurt the U.K. more”.....so why not have something that hurts neither side. It looks like May will actually get the backstop removed now......

It’s because they don’t exist. A technological solution to the border with no border infrastructure really is a fantasy; if anyone doubts that then they should consider what would stop them driving a kilo of coke from Dublin to Belfast.

The telephone went It as I was posting- it should has stated he was a war cininmal .....in that list - Blair is toxic let him carry on supporting Remain....
At least remainers don't paint a pretty picture of the man just because he is on the same side of brexit, the same can't be said of at least some of the leavers including yourself and some of their more distasteful leaving advocates
