I can't quite believe how salty some remainers are.

Their contempt for democracy isn't surprising as they were supporters of the EU.

Not as salty as masses of leave voters will be in the morning when they realise they have been lied to.

In the last five years, the SNP has gone from 6 seats to 56, we've decided to leave the EU by accident, and Scotland are likely to leave the UK.

And all of the above is down to total incompetence from the major Westminster parties.

Couldnt actually make it up.

I'm speechless at the whole situation. The lack of celebration from the conservative brexit leaders painted a picture.

He knows that EU immigration can't change if he wants access to single market. Hence why Hamman was on News Night denying all talk of immigration decreases. The points based system he is talking about in the telegraph, I can only imagine, is referring to a stricter version of our already points based system which is in place for non-EU migrants.

OK mate. So in an article that is all about Britain's exit from the EU, the reference to a points based system had absolutely nothing to do with EU immigration, and was instead a reference to non-EU immigration, and non-EU immigration only. Your interpretation of this article is underpinned by extreme bias and wishful thinking.

He literally states the Government will be able to take back democratic control of immigration policy. Control being the operative word. There is no reference to us being obliged to accept anything stipulated by the EU. Negotiations will have to take place. You keep on acting like you know the results of those negotiations already. You don't.

1 - It's always been up to the British government to decide immigration numbers.

2 - You're right that Brexit doesn't mean lower immigration... but...

3 - It doesn't give the government a choice.

I wish people would just listen to a straight fact and accept it. You don't have to say "I'm wrong about Brexit", but you can say you were wrong about a specific point, and this is the straight fact - we cannot have free trade with the EU without accepting the principle of free movement of people whilst a part of either the EU itself or the EFTA.

Extract from an article from The Economist
http://www.economist.com/news/leade...ns-senseless-self-inflicted-blow-tragic-split

"The hard task will be telling Britons who voted to Leave that the free having and eating of cake is not an option."

"If they want access to the EU’s single market and to enjoy the wealth it brings, they will have to accept free movement of people. If Britain rejects free movement, it will have to pay the price of being excluded from the single market. The country must pick between curbing migration and maximising wealth."

I think hard task was an understatement mate!

It's really not difficult. If you want to enjoy the benefits of a single market with over 500 million consumers then you have to accept the freedom of movement of individuals within that market.

If you don't want to accept that, then that's your choice, but it's a crazy decision at every level - there's no discernible benefit and a huge cost.
