There's no border problem! The technology exists to sort imports/exports across the border (although nobody has came forward with this amazing advancement in the time since we voted out!).Leave the border open. The CTA between ROI and U.K. demands that for people anyway. Even the ROI have had to admit that the CTA, which was in place before the E.U. existed takes precedence. In terms of goods, computerised systems from point of despatch and origin can be altered to take into account any import/export duties. We already do this for all goods coming into the U.K. from outside of the E.U. anyway, and also for onwards transit into the E.U.....
Biased books on Brexit Bruce no thank you!https://www.lrb.co.uk/v41/n01/on-brexit/what-europeans-talk-about-when-they-talk-about-brexit might also be of interest. Both are quite long reads, so it might suit those who are retired and have the time to read these things (ahem).
If you aren't willing to even look at the opposition argument, I would suggest it is you who holds the biased view joeBiased books on Brexit Bruce no thank you!
I bet the authors nose has grown two inches in the last two years.....
Your opposition argument by all remainers has been proved wrong since we voted Out ........If you aren't willing to even look at the opposition argument, I would suggest it is you who holds the biased view joe

Just as I thought........
Personally i think the remainers argument has been adequately displayed by the BBC over the past two years by our non biased media corporation. If you aren't willing to even look at the opposition argument, I would suggest it is you who holds the biased view joe
A very naive statement. The technology definately exists, the cost would be the issueNo it doesn’t

Correct. However, Rees-Mogg, Johnson, Redwood and the other ERG crackpots say it does, and some of them even dismiss the idea that a border is required! So much for taking control of the borders! No it doesn’t
you do realise that there are lads either side of the border who are only waiting to take up smuggling again
I guarantee the BBC have had Farage on more than any actual geo-political experts, though your statement is a trite one that is completely besides the point anywayPersonally i think the remainers argument has been adequately displayed by the BBC over the past two years by our non biased media corporation.
#projectfearI’m working with the government to streamline the processes for imports of agrifood in the eventuality of a no deal Brexit. The technology doesn’t exist, the prenotification of such goods, which is fundamental to the relevant legislation, will be done via a basic .gov submission form. Miles away from the EU TRACES system which controls the current flow and risk identification of such goods.
Second to the technology is our inability to have required infrastructure in place. So if by some miracle someone can actually design, build, receive government backing, third country approval and commercial acceptance for such technologies within the 100 days left, then all imports will be done away from the border controlled area of the Port facility and will be conducted in land. However they’re are no staff to conduct such checks
There’s more but unfortunately I’m bound by NDA’s
