I think there is a degree of truth in that but when asked how you solve a very real problem like the Irish border a reply like “just a trade deal” is simply a soundbite and I’m sorry it’s meaningless just like “taking back control “ or “just get on with it “.

I’m not arguing that there aren’t very real and genuine reasons for voting leave but I find replies like that , which this not just this thread but the real world are littered with , incredibly frustrating and equally meaningless.

@Joey66
There not meaningless if you cannot see the EU have used the Irish border to try to stop brexit.......
Please post a link to say how they set up the Good friday agreement.......... they were never involved.......

Maybe try and answer his points rather than attack the man. As people have commented on this thread literally hundreds of times, there have been many things published by erstwhile institutions predicting that Brexit will be bad. There have been practically no things published from erstwhile institutions predicting that Brexit will be in any way good. Heck, there hasn't even been anything really from non-erstwhile institutions who back this thing. In this thread, you yourself have offered nothing in the way of insight into how this will help the average man and woman in Britain, with the best you can offer being vague platitudes like trading with the world and taking back control. These things mean nothing. You've taken umbrage about people questioning the thought processes of those who voted for this Joe, but surely you must accept that those who are backing this have messed up big time. Game needs to be upped in an enormous way.
It is noticeable that either multi millionaires like Blair - Heseltine etc all want to reverse the leaving vote - I will attack the super rich who are trying to undermine UK democrocy bruce just like you who may have self interest - there are no platitudes for upholding democrocy , and why our government have just rolled over with one very poor car crah of a deal -its like its almost they have done this deliberately to stay in a half hearted effort which is very costly 17 .4 million vote out , and out meant leave ...... not a half baked idea if the is a 2nd referendum it should have Mays deal or NO DEAL on it and let's see what the result could be as for having remain on the ballot paper - very unfair as it was defeated 2 years ago , and we have not left as yet...
OK if we stay in and in the near future the EU is in chaos, and declines even worse with the movement in Europe moving very much against it - at what cost then to the UK?

I’m not a multi millionaire and I voted remain , Aaron banks , Boris Johnson , JRM , Jim Ratcliffe all are and voted leave . People voted all kinds of ways regardless of their finances . Your attempts to turn this into a class struggle whilst constantly running to the barricades with the above are a bit bizarre .

I've tried to keep myself away from this thread but now I have ventured in here. I have one question to ask, is Joey the Davek of Brexit?
Many brexiters like me have left this thread as it is too one sided and a MOD who just joins in....... @Bruce Wayne
TBF the arguments have been going around in circles now that brexit looks to be frustrated by the westminster bubble some remainers are gloating a bit - TBH the deal May has come back with is that poor I would rather stay in the EU for now, but let see...? maybe a Labour government can get in on a no confidence vote and do a simple deal?.....

FFS, a mod started the bloody thread...

The thing that worries me is that we have a society at the moment where the above doesn't seem to matter, so entrenched are opinions.
The country is divided Bruce I don't feel there has been much change on opinions - Like @Eggs started from day one our parliment should have had a coalition of brexiteers negotiators from the two main parties to see if a deal could be done, and we left the EU in a orderly fashion .. reporting back to equal remain, and brexit committees,
leaving it to a cabinet with 75% remain MPs and a PM reaminer has took too long and it's a dogs mess of a deal and boy the lies that have unfolded.......as soon as may lost her majority she should have been replaced - the whole lot of them are in a Westminster bubble , and are spineless. oh and the speaker of the house is an avid remainer too and not impartial also allegations of bullying , and he chooses when its time to go.......

The mad thing is Joey that you slate the super rich for trying to steal Brexit, even though there’s no way Brexit could ever happened without a lot of support from the super rich (as evidenced by how many papers backed Leave), and yet the moment a leader comes along to actually threaten the super rich (and actually have a pop at removing them from power) it’s a case of “well I am a socialist but I’d never vote for him”.

But you completely dismiss the millionaires on the other side , what’s the difference . You ranted the other eeek about what did Gideon know being Eton being an educated toff (I paraphrase) completely without irony having all but worshipped at the altar of Rees Mogg for months if not years . It’s odd because I’m not saying wealthy people don’t have a divergence of opinion I can see that you see totally unable to accept that toffs , multi millionaires , traders and the rest are at the forefront of Brexit . I don’t understand that if I’m honest , it’s like you refuse to see it . You completely dismiss it even as a concept and frankly it’s strange .
