A momentous week to come. It looks like May will be toast by the end of it, and hopefully Brussels plant in the U.K., Oily Robbins.......
40 votes are in already with more likely to come hence the demand for may to go before the 1922 committee. she has before Wednesday to do this .....
Lord Adonis on LBC the am let it slip the march yesterday was not exactly for a people's vote but to suspend article 50 - the utter gash he apouted was even the terms we joined the common market back in 1975 were outrageous ....
It would take 9 months to stage another referendum.......
He would expect parliment to expedite it - this coming from a party that would not let us vote on EU treaties - then had the gall to say he was totally against referendums......???
All the money for that march yesterday was provided for by the rich elite who benefit in staying in the EU.........

I would have put tape over Merkel’s mouth.....

You'll have to forgive me then Pete, as in another thread when the issue of homelessness was raised, you said that voting Labour or just giving money to charity is a cop out, and you and your mates down the pub would all actively try and do something to help. Yet you suggest Merkel should have shut her mouth and done nothing to people fleeing a warzone?

She encouraged mass migration, over dangerous waters and via other countries thereby dropping them in the mire. If she had organised planes to pick them and deliver them to Germany I would have applauded her.....

I don't doubt that there are elements of what happened that could have been improved upon, but you're not saying it could have been improved, you're saying that Merkel should have kept her mouth shut and offered no help at all. There's a reason people like Nicholas Winton are held in such high regard.

which warzones?

Erm, Syria?

And I still hold that she should have kept her mouth shut, until she had a workable solution. Bleeding hearts always sound so nice and usually turn a laudable aim into a catastrophe.......
