The laughable thing is that people have the temerity to suggest that those campaigning to leave were under no duty to have actually thought about how that might work, what it might involve and whether this impacted any positive/negatives. They've been given a clean slate, only to then pin the blame on those who actually are trying to implement it, or who never wanted it in the first place, for it not working. It's a really quite incredible logic.
Unlike the Remain campaign that never ever told one porky Bruce...........
In fact its has gathered momentum in defeat........

This is not about me, Pete.

It is you whom is denigrating young people and sneering at the lack of “important” decisions 18 year olds have made in their lives.

Let me tell you some very “important” decisions 18 year old people make right across this country on an annual basis.

They sign up to join the army to protect our shores if called upon.

They enter police academies with a view to keeping our streets safe.

They commence studies at college and start on the road to becoming out future doctors, engineers, educators and all the other vital professions and occupations which make our country tick.

And in the case of lads like Tom Davies and Jonjoe Kenny, sign contracts to play for our beloved football club.

And what could be more “important” than that :pint2:

Yes, they all do, and no one would be a greater supporter of those that do more than I. That doesn’t take away from the fact that at 18 their knowledge of the world is far less than a 21 year old and almost nonexistent compared to a 36 year old. So let’s at least be honest here, while many 18 year olds are barely starting out on a career, their knowledge pales into insignificance in terms of how to run a business, run a home or run a village/town/city/county/country or have an understanding of international affairs. I have four intelligent children, all in their 30’s or early 40’s, and not one of them had a clue when they were 18.......

Good.

I feel I have made progress here today ;)

Old ‘black wednesday’ Major is still fighting yesteryears battles......

Well you can put it like that but although he can be seen of one of the architects of the whole problem in the first place he is not the one that pulled the plug and like he says hasn't really got any axe to grind to speak some truths about the situation.

I still hope you and Joey are right about the whole thing and us remainers are all wrong (or we back out of the leaving process altogether :) ), but nothing I have seen or heard makes me think we will be anywhere ready to cope with leaving the EU. It's been a shambles start to end.

What amazes me is neither side ( leavers or
Remainers) has a clue what to do or how to conceive a plan if the vote went the way it did
Surely a competent government should have plans in place for any eventually

I see that it

Our preparations certainly have been, because our treasury, civil service and political elites have been doing more to keep us in than to actually take us out. Hammonds comments about the £39Bn are just part of a continual undermining of the British negotiating position and are always timed for maximum U.K. government embarrassment.....

David Davies only spending 4 hrs in talks in a year can’t have helped the negotiations massively I wouldn’t have thought but maybe the elites hid his keys or something.
