Meanwhile......

“Tony Blair, John Major and Nick Clegg have been travelling around Europe to persuade the continent's leaders to put a stop to Brexit, it has emerged.
The former party leaders - one from each of the UK's three largest parties - have met heads of government and senior ministers from Germany, France, Italy and the Netherlands in recent weeks.
They have reportedly sought to persuade EU leaders that 'the atmosphere has changed' since the 2016 referendum and that Britain needed to postpone its departure to allow more time for negotiations and a possible second vote.”

I would stand them up against a wall and have them shot personally.......where do these ex politicians get the idea that we want them to still boss us around, or that their views have any more validity than the 17.4 Million who voted to leave.....
Shoot them, that sounds like a perfectly reasonable reaction.

Has anyone been watching the 3 Blokes in a Pub series on Youtube?

Not so much Project Fear as Project Fact.

This week they are in Geneva, home of the WTO and had just had a meeting with a senior member of the organisation who spelled out a few things.

First of all, Liam Fox was oblivious until recently of the true impact of a hard Brexit but is fully aware now and is deliberately hiding it.

More devastatingly, the UK will be designated a country without rules on March 30th 2019. Which means that everything we export, to everywhere in the WTO will not be certified under anyone's standards. Therefore, every country will have to inspect every shipment to ensure it conforms to their standards as no standards have yet to be agreed with any other members. Currently, all our standards, certifications and accords all fall under the membership of the EU. On March 30th they cease to be valid.
How many overseas businesses will want to go through that hassle when they can get goods and services from countries with which they already have trade agreements?

Which brings me onto my next point.
We have been told that loads of countries will be lining up to do business with us when we are free of the EU.
In fact, that is not the case at all.
Plenty of countries can't wait for the English, and that point is emphasised, English to have their smug, condescending arrogance kicked out of them. It's a pity the rest of the UK will go down with them.
For example, no schedule is agreed until all members agree to it.

Remember Argentina? That country and the Islands that many men killed and died for, solidifying Thatcher's reign back in the 80's?
Well, they haven't either and this is their chance of payback. They can delay, obstruct and object to any agreement for any reason and there's nothing we can do about it. Unless perhaps, we were to relinquish said Islands.

Spain have a beef over Gibraltar too and can make things awkward.
Not only that, as a UK territory, they will become a third country with all the barriers that entails. Passport, visas and customs checks. Everyone is now talking about the Irish situation but no-one even remotely considered Gibraltar, who incidentally voted 97% remain.

Even Australia and New Zealand are unhappy about meat export quotas post-Brexit so even dropping to WTO terms will not be the cake-walk that those in charge are leading us all to believe.

343,000 UK businesses export to countries within the WTO.

They will all pay a price. How many of them will play the ultimate price and go out of business altogether? How many people will lose their jobs, homes and families? How many of those laid off will even be able to afford a new blue passport? Let alone afford to travel abroad?

Scary isn't it. But apparently people who point these things out should be lined up and be shot.

Isn't Russia also a member of WTO?

We are leaving because of democrocy, not what 3 blokes in a pub stated above which is just a remain slant on Brexit.........
Oh I see the London mayor has been caught with his kecks down demanding a 2nd referendum - while 2 weeks after the vote he was interviewed on LBC - saying that was it the people have spoken it would be undemocratic, unfair etc etc to even suggest a 2nd referendum ......
The westminster bubble again ignoring the will of the out vote at their peril.........
Also not just the referendum as the last GE Both main parties in their manifestos had written down that Brexit was their aim..........
Corbyn , and Mcdonnell are not fans of the EU anyway... but they are supposed to be democrats ......
The London mayor needs to concentrate on his day job which he is making a mess off knife crime murders etc etc.........

So no facts to counter the argument then.
