Unlike you I have lived while not in a polictical union believe it or not we survived on joining we got a VAT tax at 10 percent instead of purchase tax from 3-7 percent on goods - oh and food went through the roof price wise .......
No. Cheap commonwealth food......

You won't pay any attention because you never do, but https://publications.parliament.uk/pa/ld201719/ldselect/ldeucom/129/129.pdf and

No it's not the same we can trade worldwide, without the EU sticking their oar in - other countries survive well without them ok for trade that's it in a nutshelll.......

yeah joe, its not that simple. First off we have WTO rules, then we have customs and border controls which we do not have the infrastructure for.

You’re thinking like you’re tied into a contract with BT then at the end you’re allowed to renegotiate with a new provider.

Who is doing the border controls on all these deals we’re, like magic, going to be pulling out of a hat

A completely and utterly false statement.

A WTO schedule can not be agreed until all parties agree.

One of those parties is the EU.

So we can't trade worldwide under WTO rules without the EU having a say.

without the EU sticking their oar in
With respect that is narrow minded nationalism which seems to be the basis for your antipathy towards the EU.

On the contrary the EU is about a group of countries sticking their own oars in so that we can all attempt to row towards enhanced prosperity together in a collective effort. That is why there is a queue of countries who wish to join, not leave.

It is deluded nonsense to believe that the EU is 'out to get you'.

You're wasting your breath.

It’s the cornerstone of the Brexiteers dogma and ideology. ‘We’re a rule maker not a rule taker’ ra, ra wave the flag.

So we’re going to leave the EU’s rules (only we won’t, as everything we produce for their market will be governed by their rules), and instead we’ll trade under errrmmm WTO rules......who’s making the rules again?

It’s all just a succession of nonsense soundbites, that in reality mean nothing. We’re ruled by Brussels, we want our Sovereignty back.........only the first paragraph of the EU withdrawal bill says that Parliament has always been Sovereign. Not one of them can name an EU law they want to get rid of the moment we leave as it impinges on their actual existence. As the EU is primarily about regulatory alignment and always has been.

Now that these soundbites have been exposed, the sham idea that we’ll actually benefit from Brexit has been long since forgotten, and daily now the reality of unpicking of these regulatory alignments are being explained to people, they’ve literally got nothing left. So they’re shouting to leave, leave on any terms, just leave, yeah no deal, we’ll take it, we want what we voted for, give us the ugliest Brexit possible, we just want it, it’s ours, we ‘won’ it.

It’s become absolutely and utterly irrational, and shows the weak logic behind the thought processes of most who voted for this imo. They’re now so entrenched and can’t argue against the realities, so they just stick their fingers in their ears and pretend it’s all project fear this, pass me the shotgun I’m going to take both my legs off, rule Britannia.

They aren't out to get us - we don't need to be forking out a huge membership fee - ask Canada......and accept their four freedoms....

Other countries survive outside the EU - fact we have the 6 th largest economy so why should we subsidise the 24 countries that hardly contribute to the EU ?
No wonder Out won!

This is when you are massively lacklustre in your understanding Joe. The other countries you keep banging on about have had their infrastructure in place and growing inline with economic growth.

Our infrastructure is inline with EU rules for the free movement of goods. So if company X wants to import in to the U.K. they could technically go into Spain and receive custom clearance before loading them on a truck and driving them with no further checks

That all stops, the scenario is either those goods need to be checked at somewhere like Dover or they get directly shipped to a seaport like Liverpool and receive clearance there.

I’m sitting on a cross Government working group to look at this and not even the biggest port like Felixstowe can’t handle the increase because the infrastructure is not there. The delays on clearance will massively increase, why do you think medicines are being stockpiled, it’s not a fear campaign it’s simple math.

The other lie from people like that goggle eyed wet lettuce Mogg is that checks will be done inland!!! Laughing my arse off at that, so we either a) have no customs boundary or b) hope that local authorities and/or government officials can find time to travel the length of the country to clear goods stored at bonded warehouses.....and expects businesses to just wait and leave their products sitting there.

Your argument is pretty weak: “other countries survive or we survived before the eu” unfortunately it shows a complete lack of understanding. You’re not from the field so please don’t tell someone who is how it works
