Bruce - under the tories Universal credit has hit our own population ...... so where's the funding coming from from this austerity government - Esther Mcvey is trying to take the pension site down so the public can find out what pension details they have i.e. if the want to buy their stamps up to date - a blatant act to save billions not to alert people of entitlement - then we have Corbyn who is pledging a garden tax .... no one to vote for..........

There is for Bruce, he loves lvt. BTW most parties are in consultation regarding its application. Which leader would you think would be aware of the negative aspects of taxing allotments or small plots?
Do you hate Corbyn because you have marrow envy?

Not sure even Labour introducing a Land Value Tax would be enough, but it'd be a start I suppose. The media don't help by labelling these things so childishly (the garden tax in this instance, or the dementia tax with May's attempt to help pay for elderly care). Joe does show that these things stick however without really understanding what a land value tax is. It's widely regarded as a much more effective tax than council tax, and would hopefully encourage more home building.

It would need to be well crafted not to impact agriculture adversely.
 
I have never seen that programme, but I would assume the producers would have wanted someone who was a respected commentator on Brexit as a guest.

Or maybe not...
