Really in bold why o why are posters who were remainers still running the referendum debate - Look I want to leave on the best possible terms for both sides - not be bullied into submission in negotiations or be labeled an Idiot on here either........

What are the arguments against a second referendum?

It will be when remainers won't accept the democratic vote -
If a Unon votes democratically for a strike by now ballot - and yes I have been on strike, and picketed -
You expect your top Union men to negotiate a good deal to return to work - I do agree our negotiations have been pathetic - I wonder why ........
Lets see if we get in a deal that's what this thread should be about now imo........
The way forwards not back to pre referendum arguments .......

When we striked earlier this year, we were balloted as to whether or not we should accept the negotiated position. This argument doesn't stack up.

What happens if there is a Strike like on the railways in London ... would you creep in to work? against the strike vote?... just asking if you were an employee?
as it does stack up.......

I'm an ardent remainer but I am still against a second referendum. The government should have the balls to admit that the whole brexit fiasco was a disaster from the start and just make the decision to ignore the 'will of the people' and do what is right for the country.

As it stands the government of the day have ruled it out
Labour have almost ruled it out.......
why not have the best of three ignore the cost of it........

That can change, provided that the leadership allows the membership to determine policy.

The Little Englanders know they would lose it. That's it.

Nah, I don't buy into this argument. Many people within my own family voted to leave, and they're probably the least "little Englander" type people you'll ever meet.

Nah, because I'm not a filthy scab.

It doesn't stack up as most Unions ballot their members on negotiated positions.

I actually hate the political class, and I'm not going to let them get away with this mess cart blanche.

Austerity biting, blame the EU and foreigners, that was it in a nutshell.

It was the perfect storm for the back bench swivel eyed loons that have been bleating about Europe for 30 years. Cameron gifted them a window of opportunity and they played a blinder with populist crap, meaningless soundbites, zero detail all wrapped up in a Union Jack.

‘Even if it’s a pile of dung, it’ll be our pile of dung, 100% British dung’

The media moguls who love our country soo much they register themselves in tax havens offshore and it gave them a prefect chance to get out of the EU who was looking to clamp down on these tax havens.

They campaigned leave for the people, not themselves at all.

Given what people know now about the consequences of leaving, there is no chance a yes vote would be passed now, absolutely none.
