Has anyone managed to name one of those numerous EU laws that have made our lives a living hell yet?

Farage getting 306 euros a day just for signing the register at the European Parliament qualifies (this is on top of his wage, his office expenses, his travel expenses etc).

Sounds to me like the WTO fallback route isn't such a straightforward and hassle free option after all. Whoever would have guessed that may be the case!?

The concept of a no deal not being too much of a problem as some have suggested is laughable. It won't happen though as it would have severe implications for both the UK and the EU.
We sit on the WTO already we have approached them already not ideal but we need a trade deal with the EU - it is a backup last resort.....

If you watched the documentary about the EU all MEPs are in it for the food wine and money as they are powerless anyway they get timed on a speech two minutes before the Commissionaires shut them up .......

My latest offering, genteel folks. The original, not the one butchered by that Scottish group that should never be mentioned...

indeed, but Pete could probably argue that people who voted remain are too dismissive of genuine concerns of the leavers.
We live in a world of false dichotomies.

Think this very fair.

I guess it’s one of the worst things about the last two years generally, nobody listening to the other side and refusing to countenance that they may have something valid to say.

I’m sure I’ve been as guilty of it as anyone.

There have been attempts on this thread, but when most of the grievances could be tackled by the uk government already, those grievances changed. When every problem is the fault of the EU, even when it's not, it doesn't leave much scope to find common ground.

We should have probably taken the EU Parliament much more seriously and sent the best we had to represent us, instead of the spivs, liars, racists and charlatans who’ve represented us for years.

1. If we revert to WTO rules we’ll have zero trade deals on the day after a no deal Brexit - fact

2. I asked for just one of the EU laws that have impinged on your life in such a way that you feel like you’re ruled by Brussels. I keep hearing people of your age spouting that soundbite but have yet to hear a single one of them name an example of what’s they’re referring to. Go on Joey name one.

The whole 'taking back control' thing is undermined by the indifference the British public have had to the EU elections. Below is the voter turnout for EU elections each year, with a comparison provided to the EU average. We underperform each and every year by quite a margin.

United Kingdom 32.35% 32.57% 36.37% 36.43% 24% 38.52% 34.7% 35.60%
