Indeed, but equally you seem quite vexed by his statement as well so I wondered what you thought he meant as the clips I've found don't exactly help matters. It was presumably a much longer press conference than the 90 second clip I've seen, so maybe context cleared things up? I've found the full session btw, which you can view below if you so wish.

Thanks for that Bruce. He’s basically said, we’ll discuss the bits we like and not the bits we don’t. This is just classic EU and which I’m sure May will try to cave in on before she then gets thrown out of office. Her NI visit and speech sounded tough, but no one really trusts her anymore. On NI he’s trying to say that the backstop is the backstop, which we may change as time moves on. He also slid in the military bases in Cyprus and mentioned Gibraltar, no doubt for future intransigence. I love the way he believes his actual ‘red lines’ are just givens, but our ‘red lines’ are an impediment to agreement. His reference to October now moving to November and December did however suggest that it’s dawning on him and the 27 that we may actually just do a no deal. There has been absolutely no progress from what I’ve heard, but perhaps you may have heard it differently.......oh and the fact that we even had a question regarding Drunken Juncker says it all......anyway, what was your take on the video....

Much more likely to be cutting the minimum wage, benefits, contracts and company pensions.

We could do that now. I understand your fear, but it’ll be down to tariffs, tax, government investment etc, which are all covered by some EU rule at the moment......

A lot of you are wasting your time.

Ultimately, the likes of @peteblue and @Joey66 don't really give two shits about the economic/societal impacts Brexit will have.

I can’t speak for their individual motives nor that of anyone else who still thinks this is a great idea. What I can say definitively though, is that there’s a definitive lack of understanding of the full implications of a ‘no deal’ Brexit, a pathway that stands up to absolutely no scrutiny as being a ‘good’ choice, and yet there’s still plenty who advocate this path. They’re driven by an ideology nothing more, nothing less. For some, Brexit ceased to be solely about leaving the EU a long time back.....

Only if the Remain campaign had not used project fear they may have won........

No one is suggesting the Remain campaign was a good one, and the weird desire by some Leave supporters to desperately paint this in a weird winners v losers, sporting competition is, quite frankly idiotic and lacking in any form of empathy.
The country voting to Leave has, in my view, put us in a position of weakness and will
Cause major long term damage.
When people who voted leave then can’t adequately explain any real reason why except some vague taking back control, it is really quite frustrating when you realise what is at stake

I think the same things are being posted time after time we have an act of Parliment that says we are leaving let's just get on with it constructively......

Thankfully, the team that Liam Fox heads up are doing just that, quietly and energetically behind the scenes. Its the only slim bit of hope I have that this whole exercise wont be a disaster for folk.

Just trying to follow your logic, which if you don't mind is a bit wonky. However, can I take you back to my questions? The context of my questionTariff free trade deals with America first USA, which endorses tarrifs to get what it wants! I would like to know why I should not be a remoaner?
Why are you just banging on about the USA the U.K. Can trade freely cheaply outside the EU - which would also help poorer countries....

If your union in a firm voted for a strike in a secret ballot you would attempt to be a scab then?.......
Hang on, are we all voting to strike or are we all voting to leave and set up on our own? I think striking for what you want is a fine idea.
The last time you set up on your own, you became a huge multinational that treated your foreign employees like dirt. Union busting was all the rage!
