Petition going round for a second referendum

Currently more than 1 million people have signed it

This means it now has to be debated in parliament

Interesting, though I can't see a pro brexit Tory PM (which is almost certainly what the next one will be) authorising it

At the end of the day, we've voted and got a result. That's democracy
Is this a petition that you can sign numerous times?

Can't wait to see the employment problems of all of these towns over run my migrants solved now we've left the EU.

The Tories are laughing at us.

I have no problem whatsoever with people voting to leave, but only if it's a considered vote of all aspects of both sides sides aims and policies. my biggest fear is that a load of little Englander zionist have weighed in with their vote, with the simple aim of stopping human beings moving to our shores and giving no effect to what it may and already is appearing to do to our economy.

Might cause them to get off their overpaid, overprivelged arses and start fighting back, if - as feared - the tories start running riot.

As I said, the trade unions have had their powers eroded gradually over 35 years. Whatever you think about them sitting on their arses, they simply do not have the clout to give the protections which workers require anymore.

A lot of workers protections were given by the EU, but people believe immigration is the key factor as to why they have poor job opportunities, low wages, etc. Leaving the EU is not the right solution to that problem.

Yeah, righto indeed.

Don't bother to listen to the other points I've made in this, or any other thread regarding the issue, just pick one single thing out and attribute that as my sole idea that's of any 'benefit' (says you).

And you wonder why remain lost.

I genuinely have yet to see one of your points that can be backed up with facts

And remaining, letting the EU have control over our migration policy was the right solution? Don't give me the spiel about 'change it from within' , the EU has no intention of changing. They've been saying that since maastricht.

Unions. No clout?

The junior doctors held out...The RMT get what they want more often than not...It's a bit of a pity a few more unions haven't got the balls to stand up for the average working joe...

People that voted leave because they wanted a large cut in immigration ( A view which I hold nothing against btw) are going to be bitterly disappointed when it doesn't/can't happen.

And all its going to cause is even more resentment in the political system

Why can't it happen? You're going to say the EU won't allow it, and that any trade deal must abide by the stipulations of the EU. Once independent, we aren't obliged to accept any EU stipulation, and the negotiations that take place in the formulation of a trade agreement will also include stipulations of our own, which absolutely could involve limitations on immigration.
