So that's it isn't it?

Couple of years down the line and all Brexiteers have is waffle. No facts or figures. No evidence to support anything. Just banal claptrap. Despite every sensible forecast showing either a Hard Brexit or a No Deal being disastrous.

The saving grace here is the House of Commons won't vote for a No Deal or Hard Brexit scenario.

My only concern here is Corbyn. If only Labour had a decent leader to rescue this he or she could smash the Tories for a generation.

What facts and figures would you like. We are not yet allowed to negotiate fta’s, the economy continues to grow and employment is higher than its ever been......or yeah and the sensible forecasts said the economy would immediately fall over and unemployment would rise........

I see Merkel has done a deal with Seehofer in order to remain in power and will now introduce ‘transit centres’ to process and return migrants to previous countries. So as Germany doesn’t have a border with the Mediterranean or Aegean seas I expect that Greece and Italy will be getting a lot of new arrivals from the north......
Not sure they can pete, how can they prove which country the migrants first set foot in the EU?
If they say I landed in say, Spain illegally how can they prove it, then the Spanish just say prove it or keep them till you can..
Its not in the interests of the Med countries ,If they are left to shoulder the burden themselves.. to actively register the immigrants rather than move them on, or worse still they don't allow them to land and the loss of life that will entail.
It will be against some international convention I am sure it doesn't sound correct.

Pete the UK has gone from being the strongest EU economy pre Brexit referendum to one of the weakest. I know that's the case as I've included that exact set of charts in a work presentation. I have definitely put them in here for you as well.

The economic Armageddon will happen after a No Deal or Hard Brexit scenario don't you worry (but of course you wont). If you recall in the immediate aftermath of the referendum the government did nothing in terms of advancing Brexit and instead just pumped billions and billions in to keep things ticking along.

Current position of the U.K. is to expect large WTO fines from day 1. If a no deal Brexit is a goer then they have finally realised we do not have the infrastructure to deal with European trade. No customs tariffs will be levied and therefore will be deemed to show an unfair favouritism to Europe in the eyes of WTO

It’s the only thing they’ve planned for so far

Your waffle is the UKs people's vote democrocy which was leaving the EU.......

Those who seem intent on trying to inflict the worst exit possible on this country i.e. a no deal flounce off, are putting their warped ideology before what’s best for this country.

17.4m people didn’t vote to make themselves considerably worse off, and no one can attempt to try and claim that they did with any credibility whatsoever - including you Joseph. Those pushing for the hardest of hard Brexits, the smash yourself in the face with a claw hammer Brexit, are those who have nothing to really lose, they’re invariably cushioned from an economic crash in various different ways, or they’re simply completely disenfranchised and don’t care if the ‘haves’ take a bath.

This Govts own figures have the economy as being worse off to the tune of £252BN over the next 15 years if we end up with the no deal scenario. This simply isn’t acceptable and there’s no credible case as to why going down that route makes any sense at all. It’s the PM’s job to ensure that we exit the EU to fulfill the result of the referendum but do so in a manner that inflicts the least possible long term economic damage. If she’s going to take that route then she’s finally going to have to stand up, to the vocal minority within her own party who’ve been screaming for the ‘no deal’ outcome from the outset - for reasons best known. It’s time she piped them down and showed her authority. The rumours are that she’s going to tell them that her choice is the Norway model and that’s the route they’re going to now follow.

Time for a song again, methinks...

Come mothers and fathers
Throughout the land
And don't criticize
What you can't understand
Your sons and your daughters
Are beyond your command
Your old road is
Rapidly agin'
Please get out of the new one
If you can't lend your hand
For the times they are a-changin'.

My concern at the moment is that we are neither fish nor fowl. Economies as you know continually grow, reduce, stagnate and grow again and no nation is the strongest/weakest for ever. If unemployment was going through the roof then there may be cause to change tack, but it isn’t, it is absolutely booming at over 32M. Pay is starting to rise again and as long as the balance between job creation and productivity is maintained we will gontinue to grow. To suggest that we are one of the weakest economies in Europe is laughable quite honestly with unemployment at just 4.2%, the lowest since the mid seventies. We are doing alright, and irrespective of how we leave the EU our trade with them will continue and vice versa, but there will be no excuses either for government or business not to then grasp the opportunity and use Brexit to grow and develop further. It’s analogous to getting the children to leave home, without taking that step away from the familiar and the comfort zone no one ever prospers......

Then any ‘deal’ Seehofer has done with Merkel is not worth the paper it’s written on....

Please don't put your life in the hands
Of a rock 'n roll band
Who'll throw it all away...

We're no longer putting our life in the hands
of 27 other nations
Who were content to throw us away...

Score yourself 10 points if you can name the song lyrics in the first three lines WITHOUT googling them! ;)

Me thinking positive won’t affect our economy should we crash our without a deal Joey mate lol

Corbyn wants to renationalise our trains and utilities btw and it’s not against EU rules at all, I can point you in the direction of the EU article that confirms that if you wish........sorry, that’d be a fact though, and you don’t do facts do you mate?

Cue: 17.4m and Out!

Our growth since the vote is the worst in the G20. Our productivity is way behind our peers and foreign investment has fallen off a cliff. Those are the facts that put the unemployment stats into perspective
