But No Deal is not a credible threat.

Anyone on any side who has considered it seriously understands that it will be a spectacular catastrophe for the British economy.

It's like holding a sawed-off shotgun to your own kneecaps.

No Deal is what the EU threatens us with, which is why, slowly but surely, May is conceding on point of contention. As she should.

If we must have Brexit, may it be pointless, and not suicidal.

Brexit is not pointless. The EU fear is that we will succeed and they want to put every possible brake on that opportunity, to protect their ‘project’......

You are talking as if we are having to go cap in hand for some handout. Have you never taken an opportunity. Do you not believe in your own abilities. What exactly are you afraid of.......

Hubris is often punished by nemesis, and it will be on this occasion also

Still, you'll be alright anyway won't you Pete? No skin of your nose if everyone's lives go down in flames so long as you can get what you want?

No deal would suit you just fine, because you don't rely on one. Most others don't have that luxury

Both @peteblue, and I have lived outside this berocratic EU - to slate him personally is losing your argument, I would ask you why you want to break your neck to stay in a failing project - we joined originally for Trade - that's all that needs negotiating for big business no need to be stuck in the mire with them when they crumble.....

Perhaps if you got off your knees and stopped kissing the rear of the EU you would actually look out at a whole world of opportunity. As you say, I’m alright, but I didn’t vote for me, I voted for my kids and granddaughter and I wouldn’t do anything that would harm them. So take your personal accusations with you......

I'm not trying to argue mate

I live in the real world where no deal will cripple the economy and put lots of people out of work. People who work hard and don't deserve to lose those jobs

You and your ilk are playing poker with peoples lives and it isn't right

You've already said in the past they'll be fine because they'll inherit your money mate

Thanks to you they're going to need it

Well done

You very rarely post in here, for fairly obvious reasons. Perhaps when you try to post something positive either for or against Brexit, as opposed to merely criticising the vote of those that see things differently, then perhaps you will contribute....

So, this real world in which you live, you personally, how will you be affected by Brexit......

17.4 million voted for this not my ilk again getting personal, democracy is what is usually the rule so why the big backlash of project fear?.......

I see Merkel has done a deal with Seehofer in order to remain in power and will now introduce ‘transit centres’ to process and return migrants to previous countries. So as Germany doesn’t have a border with the Mediterranean or Aegean seas I expect that Greece and Italy will be getting a lot of new arrivals from the north......

As usual total project fear tosh....
We survived before the EU ...lack of ambition and left wing socialist drivel....
Corbyn saying nothing ......

So that's it isn't it?

Couple of years down the line and all Brexiteers have is waffle. No facts or figures. No evidence to support anything. Just banal claptrap. Despite every sensible forecast showing either a Hard Brexit or a No Deal being disastrous.

The saving grace here is the House of Commons won't vote for a No Deal or Hard Brexit scenario.

My only concern here is Corbyn. If only Labour had a decent leader to rescue this he or she could smash the Tories for a generation.
