That was an interesting item on the news just now.

Mini, (BMW owned but built in Oxford), churn a car off the production line every few minutes, with a very robust supply chain of components arriving in 270 lorries, in an order, every morning. 60% of components are from the EU.

The actual production is obviously very very streamlined. So, any breaks in the supply of components, leading to a break in the production line, is pretty much, a disaster. So the UK bosses on Mini need to look at some possible alternatives if there are border issues in a few months time.

Not project fear. Just project fact.

As ever, played lads.

Indeed Roydo, so I would imagine that BMW might just be bending the ear of Merkel, who really runs the EU......

I was merely pointing out the hypocrisy of your stance not passing comment on the visa suggestion.

I’m sure Brussels has had a few laughs at our bollocks position of ‘no deal is better than a bad deal’ btw, as it you’re looking for a preposterous negotiating position then look no further.

One day, and I don’t know when, you will be on our side.......and not the EU’s.......

I see the EU are now suggesting that over 6000 U.K. professions/skills, will not be recognised by the EU after Brexit. They really are scraping the barrel in trying to wind us up aren’t they.......what next, UK birds flying into Europe will be deemed non classified flying objects.......

One day, and I don’t know when, you will be on our side.......and not the EU’s.......
So you’ve now moved on to claiming to be the more patriotic, and I’m somehow on the ‘other side’, because I have the temerity to spell out simple realities to you. I’m such a traitor eh Pete? Am I worthy of Daily Hate headline?

No mate, the traitors are those who peddled the Brexit myth for their own personal agendas, whether that was career wise like the bogus, flip flopping snide Johnson, or that treacherous self serving hypocrite Farage, or the ‘anti establishment’, landed gentry, multi millionaire Rees Mogg or that confused, hard Brexit junkie Redwood, who appears to have forgotten that he’s advising his rich clients to shift their cash out of the U.K. because of errmmmmm Brexit.

One day, and I don’t know when, you’ll realise that the entire idea of Brexit was spun on myths, and that you were had over......not that you’ll ever admit that like.

I’ve never been had over. I do admit I am a patriot, which is probably anathema to you. But even if our country had taken the absolute worst path, and I’d vehemently objected, when push comes to shove I would be with our country, good or bad. I know you cannot say the same......

Foot Long Hot Dog, I have posted this before but it doesn"t seem to penetrate. Those in Brussels who "laugh at our no deal is better than a bad deal" are the EU Elite. No one is laughing in the 27 member countries. In fact, many of them are getting extremely nervous. The unplanned third phase will bring it home to Brussells just what it means to be accountable. We buy far more from the EU than they buy from us. In a "no deal" situation we will transfer much of what we buy from the EU to other countries as we negotiate new trade deals. That is the real world, something that is lost by the EU Elite in their ivory towers.

There you go with the patriot card again.......and now not intimating, you’re claiming as a supposed actual fact, that I’m somehow ‘against’ the nation of my birth.

Actually Pete, I’m not having that, as that angle is not only a crap attempt to portray those who are still vehemently opposed to this slow motion car crash, as being somehow treacherous, but it’s also the complete opposite of the actual reality.

As the country has chosen the wrong path, and the outcome is going to be anywhere between pretty [Poor language removed] and a complete clusterfeck dependant on whether we end up with the cliff edge no deal or retain some form of CU and free trade deal. What it isn’t going to be, is a fiscal success, by the Govts own projections, at best, note, at best, the public purse is going to be £15bn worse off than it would have been had we not left the EU.

I’m sure Brexiteers such as yourself (once you’d got past trying to decry the forecasts and waffling on about unicorns), would still want this nonsense to continue if there was no deal and we faced the cliff edge, as you’d rather see the nation plunge into the fiscal abyss of a no deal Brexit, than see us apply the brake and say stop. You’d rather the nation goosed itself for a generation, rather than somehow ‘lose’ what you voted for. As you’re so entrenched that you’d no doubt try and convince yourself that the abyss looked quite appealing.

Whereas I, and many like me, see this for what it is, and would want to try and stop it in its tracks, if the cliff edge looms large. Because we want to see this country succeed and not chop it’s own feet off, in some flag waving act of self sacrifice on the altar of Brexit.

So in summary, how dare you and your fellow Brexiteers try and portray yourselves as the true patriots in this debate, as you’re not, as you’re fully prepared to put your own idoleogical ‘belief system’ before what’s best for this country, even if it was staring you clean in the grid.

Wrong they buy more off the UK than we buy off the EU.......
In fact our trade with them is reducing every year.......

That can be sorted out if the EU show and respect the wishes of our country......
Plus it's in their own interest to do so!
This is the problem we are not dealing country to country just pompous bullyboys of a unelected Polictical union by the way Sweden are close to a referendum and Out are favoured to win.......

What percentage of our total exports go to the EU?

And in comparison what is the largest percentage of any EUs country’s exports that come to the U.K.?

When you’ve got those numbers come back to me and tell me which country out of the current 28, stands to lose the most due to Brexit.

What new trade deals btw?

Indeed....but the Remainers on here will never understand nor accept. It’s almost like they don’t understand business.....

Hahaha, and yet you willingly accuse Brexit supporters of being racist. It’s not nice is it. What is this ‘unicorn’ thing of which you speak ? What does it mean ? We have voted, we are leaving, it’s going to happen, but still you cannot support your country, you believe that ‘we can change the result, or remain in a single market’ or whatever. At what point in our exit do you come over from the EU to the U.K. I only ask because I don’t believe you ever will. No matter what we do, no matter what success we have, or failure, you will be there, throwing stones and hyperbole at those trying to made it good. Do I believe that Remainers are treacherous, not at the moment, but soon when it’s really time to pick sides that position will change........

I’ve no idea where you get your information from, but there’s about 20% of the Swedish populous who would currently favour leaving the EU.
