I saw a comment earlier today which I would love to see answered by our resident Europhiles...

“what can the EU do for us that we can’t do ourselves ?”...... any takers......

What about:
'What does the EU do for us that a London-centric bunch of short-termers won' t'.

Comparative advantage that comes with economic integration.

Give us tariff free access and frictionless trade with the largest trading bloc on the planet?

Will that do?

Yeah, what you said haha.

So that’s it then is it. All this bleating and moaning and this is what you come up with......

No it won’t, because we will still trade with them. So now try and answer the question.....
You asked what they can do for us that we can’t do for ourselves, I gave you a specific example and you’ve batted it away with a deflection. as we will trade with them only less, and with much more hassle. So tariff free and frictionless trade will be lost, therefore we can’t have it without them.

Freedom of movement across 27 EU states, that we can move to and live in and work in, should we wish without any visa requirements.

Happy to help..give me a shout when you want some more....

No, we can negotiate tariff free trade with other countries. All you are doing is listing what you believe we may no longer access. So the U.K. will be in the same boat as the USA, China, Canada etc. The question is about capability and I ask it again, what can the EU do for us that we cannot do ourselves ?.....

We will no longer be able to use the European arrest warrant.

Good grief, how many times? I wasn’t talking about the far right party’s vote share. I was talking about the Swedish populations view on EU withdrawal, which you stated was pro a Swedish exit - it isn’t. Support for Swedish withdrawal from the EU sits at about 20%.
Anyway what are you doing on here - you should have been on the big pro Eu march today ....
Vince Cable was there the one who sold our post office to the private sector for sixpence - great business man - NOT
I would have thought you would have been there shouting how great the EU is run by brand half soaked commionairs....
